The biggest game changer since him is easily Crosby. Look at his supporting group. Solid puck moving dmen, quality young depth, a very powerful top 6 that doesn't even need all 6 to be great.

McJesus needs to Lebron a hockey team, and that's not something you can do in hockey.

Last night was the first time in a while it felt like "wow. This is what my team is gonna look like for a while" The hired guns in O'Reilly and Okposo complementing the drafted talent. It's gonna be exciting for the next 3-5 years with this group, and at the end of that, Eichel will be the "old man" with a new group of youngsters

The best player in the game did nothing against a very average Buffalo blue line yesterday.

It was also their 2nd game of a back to back and 3rd and 4 nights. How many stinkers have we seen the Sabres (and others) put up in that situation. He scored 6 points in his first two, and they won them both. As long as he keeps scoring at a decent pace (not that pace, which is almost impossible to maintain), that team will win more games than they lose.
