I agree with you, but you're also operating on a faulty assumption that those players can be moved. I get Franson is gone after this year, but we still have Bogo, and he's about as unmovable as they come unless we trade away someone we really would rather not and use him as a cap dump. Since we're not the GM and have no offers for players you just have to operate under the assumption that no one can be moved.

Edit: The problem is we're paying some average to bad players a lot of money. There are too many to be moved. Patrick Sharp might not be worth the $6M whatever he's making but he still scores goals.

He's not going after Lindholm or anyone else, he's going to wait and see how things play out with both Eichel and Kane out, Ducks won't give up on Lindholm this isn't the same situation that Trouba is going through.

I feel like someone would take bogo even if it were at a cut price. probably for the same reason murray wanted him. Hell the lesser reinhart got the isles two really good picks. Seems like there's always a GM or two who will pay up for the old school big tough d-man.

He was leading us in ice time after two periods against the Habs, then Risto played more in the third and against the Oilers, and we had our 4 best periods. Coincidence?

Honestly, I don't get the hate on Franson. He's definitely not very good, but he is above average at making quick passes out of the zone. He did it a few times against the Habs and Oilers that I noticed.

He made a nice play a nice behind the back pass to a player skating out of the zone, from behind the net that was a simple play, but done with 0 hesitation. Which IMO is an issue with some of the other D men.

On his own Franson isn't horrible, but when you want to give $6M, just read today he's(lindholm) asking for Ekblad money, but I'll still say $6M, it takes a big chunk out of what you'd give to Lindholm. Your bottom pairing should make no more than about $3M total.

Thankfully it looks like the other guy left his entire roster from last week in there, or he never got the memo that guys who play more games are often better than a better player that plays less games. Hopefully it doesn't cost me. I ended up with about $2M left over and meant to go back in today and Richard around with it some to see if I could get that down some, but I forgot and when I read your post I was sad until I looked at the other guy's team.

Just watching this team...its largely unchanged from last year....with the exception of the Decker injury...you could argue they are younger, faster, and more skilled
