Why exactly do we have to operate like we can't trade Franson or Gorges?
Many players with much worse deals have been moved
Even if u have to mildly sweeten the pot...
I have no doubt that those guys can be moved
U act like Gorges & Franson suck
They do not
They're decent depth defenseman
And like I said...
if u really have to sweeten the pot, then do it
Small price to pay to get a true top pair defenseman - jdfitz77
Not to mention that's just the short term. Long term we have money that falls off in Franson and Gorges. It's doable. But the real issue is that Lindholm isn't available |

Thank you. This is why I keep saying we don't have the cap for lindholm. We can't just magically move people, if they are "dead weight" here, they aren't really a movable asset. - Mentalorgasm5
they would need to move gorges or franson in a separate deal, if making a play on lindholm |

Says who? I think any player holding out on a team that literally doesn't have the cap room to sign him is more available than not. This is probably the most available he'll ever be. |

if the play is for fowler, they need to get ritchie back as well |

Your opinion of "dead weight" doesn't necessarily make someone unmovable
And like I've said, and others have said...
MANY worse deals than Gorges & Franson have been moved
Nothing magical about it - jdfitz77

I've never been too impressed with Ritchie. Fowler is what he is, he's better than what we have for the most part but unless it's dirt cheap I'd rather wait for the legit top 2 we need. |

I'd call up Jim "drunk at the wheel" Benning and see if you could convince him to do a Bogosian for Tanev swap. |

I'm guessing he'd rather sign an offersheet giving him good $$$ than sit around making zero while he waits for the Ducks to trade Fowler so that they can only pay him 4mil per year
Obviously cant be sure he'd sign with us...
but it seems like a decent option |

Detroit is also a team that might be interested in Bogosian. They've only had like one RD since Rafalski retired. |

Maybe something like Bogosian+ for Smith and Mantha/Jurco |

I think he has a better chance of breaking 250 this year |

I'll admit I'm a little hard on Bogosian but I just hate that contract and the role he has to play |

When you see people from this board on facebook under the "people you may know" suggestions - chilliard77
How do you know they're from here? I think the only person's name from here I know is Gerbe and that's only because he named his playoff challenge team with it.
And Landlord Tom. But even then, those are only first names. |

Not many analysts are saying anything about a Lindholm trade other than the fact that he isn't signed yet. This is the most available he'll be but that doesn't mean they're shopping him. Of course they'll listen to offers but they'd do that for anyone. But here's hoping. |

Last name first initial in their username. I assume it's gotta be the same person.
My username is the same thing with last name/first initial. Tried to change it but they wouldn't let me lol |

Regardless of how available he is, I assume now is the most available he'll ever be. So now is the time to go after him. Once he signs long term he isn't going anywhere |
