Leafs play Minnie tonight?
Enroth or whoever our backup is will be playing?
Play andersen for the blackhawks.
Or just ride him for all three? - Fakepartofme
As much as I don't have a lot of faith in him. I think you need to go with him in Chicago. You have to go with a clear starter until you think the sample size is large enough that you need to make a different decision on how to divvy up games. Also, because of Andersen missing most of training camp, you need to give him a chance to catch up before evaluating.

He dosnt deserve the benefit of "getting calls". Known diver - embellish-er - poohcrumbs
Doesn't matter if he is a diver, a hook on the hands is a penalty, if the refs are being bias, then the NHL has a big problem. |

To put things into perspective, if I was to tell you the following back in the dog days of August, what would you think?
4 of a possible 6 points with no regulation losses;
Matthews 5 points in 3 games;
Nylander 4 points in 3 games;
Marner 2 points in 3 games;
Rielly with a 3-game point streak, longest in his career so far;
all rookie skaters with at least a point, and a whole lot of them playing too;
Zaitsev looking exactly as advertised, NHL-ready. - gravyface
I would have said...sure I see that. Its not a surprise the leafs come out firing.

Terrible calls. The worst calls. Make officiating great again.
Realistically the officiating might have been so so but the Leafs had a mighty hard time maintaining possession throughout the entire game. Ain't gonna get too many wins like that. - TheMussel
Once the big goof (Buff) yapped at the ref for like a minute, I knew we'd get "screwed back".... that tying goal (PP cause of Rielly) was such a fluke and lucky ass bounce to a Jet when Carrick slapped the puck... ugggh!!.. heh |

What's the end-game here, fella?
Laine had a great game; he "won" the Great Big Fabricated Battle of the Draft Picks last night.
I just watched the goal again and Matthews looked pretty tired at the end of that breakaway; I don't expect him to catch Laine, do you?
And given that Matthews has shown a propensity for backchecking in every game, tournament, and league he's played in recently, I would suspect that he felt (and quite rightly) that he had no chance of catching up to him.
So besides trying to rub salt in the wound, what exactly are you doing here? - gravyface
Not to mention Matthews backchecked his ass off earlier in this gameand drew a penalty when the guy Scheifele(?) had a step on him.

So Dmitri Sokolov who dropped like a (frank)ing stone in last years draft has 8 goals in 7 games for the first place Wolves. Maybe playing on a poop team shouldn't warrant a massive drop in the draft? |
