Not at all...

I don't like him. I believe he will ultimately be as bad as Bernier and I am being honest about his performance in net, without the leafs homer glasses on.

But I do recognize that it is too early to make a decision.

The original question was whether or not to play him. Absolutely you do. You signed him for 5x5 you need to give him a big chance to catch up from training camp and a good sample size before you start benching him for poor performance.

Not arguing with you here but why do you think he'll be as bad as Bernier?

Solid starting goalie numbers last year no? Something Bernier didn't have before he came to Toronto.

We get...

I don't like Kadri, but it does not take me days to get that across to others on here.

Maybe Enroth will give us good goaltending
- twiztedmike

Hopefully have a decent game.

I really wonder if we will hit December, and look at the first two months and realize our goaltending has not improved, even a bit. Ehnroth is probably an OK backup, but I doudt he will be an improvement on Reimer, except cheaper

the part I dont like is they left no room for error on him. He has to be decent and a #1 since they payed him like one and gave term.

I have been happy with Management and not been very critical at all... but thats a risky move and I am not a fan of it

The Leafs need to go for a home run in net. If you're giving up a 1st you go for Murray and they should have been looking at him last year before he showed up big in the playoffs.

Last year I was saying Murray was gonna be a stud when he absolutely stole a game from the Leafs early on in the regular season

Seriously Bix, relax.

It takes two or more people to continue a debate/discussion/argument.

Pens just extended him today, I don't see them trading him now.

I have wondered myself why the big term before he even plays a game. His stats were not that good considering a MUCH stronger team was in front of him than he currently enjoys.

My only guess is that they felt they were getting a contract that would be a bargain if he proved himself to be a top-half of the league starter.

but yeah, 4 years of that money for this performance is going to hurt, so I hope to hell he picks it up.

Pens extended Murray, so he has no leverage if they go ahead and trade Fleury.

I expect Fleury gone soon.

yes.... I know. Leafs missed that boat. Right now, they should be scouting for the next batch of good goalies in the league.

If the Leafs are trending towards a playoff spot and FLA isn't come Feb, I would expect to see the Leafs bring in Luongo

It's just really sad that the team has had crap goaltending the past 10-15 years and don't have one good goalie prospect

I just hate that you think Kapanen is worth 0.

Also, I agreed with your take last night, that nylander wasn't very good in the first period. Sure, he was great in the offensive zone in the first two periods...but the entire Mathews line spent a lot of time in their own zone the first period especially. Had difficulty adapting to the way the Scheifle line was playing them. BTW...Mark Scheifle has developed into a very nice first line player for the jets.

They will take on salary for picks / prospects anytime and with Huberdeau out they might not make it

I think they're past that point dude. They made the playoffs last season, and have only four guys (luongo, jagr, Mackenzie and jussi) over 30. They won't be moving Luongo, and they won't be adding bodies unless it helps them with playoff depth.
