The Leafs need to go for a home run in net. If you're giving up a 1st you go for Murray and they should have been looking at him last year before he showed up big in the playoffs.

I have wondered myself why the big term before he even plays a game. His stats were not that good considering a MUCH stronger team was in front of him than he currently enjoys.

My only guess is that they felt they were getting a contract that would be a bargain if he proved himself to be a top-half of the league starter.

but yeah, 4 years of that money for this performance is going to hurt, so I hope to hell he picks it up.

You really don't think our D...which includes Marincin as a top 2 and Hunwick as a top 6 and two rookies in Carrick and Zaitsev (N.A. rookie)....has anything to do with Andersen's play?

Not to mention, recent injury with no training camp.

I think I will hold out judgement on Andersen until a few other glaringly poopty things get worked out or at least until Maricin and Hunwick are not in our D line up.
