Actually, thus far, Gardiner is right up there with Andersen, tied for second behind Marinicin in terms of being whipped. - mykokes
Gardiner is perma-whipped though. He is what he is: he'll make one terrible gaff every 8-9 games, which overshadows his solid play the rest of the time.
Bryan McCabe was the same way: for every one-timer rocket from the point, he'd take some bad penalty with his can-opener move. |

i watched the whole game.
Marincin played 24 mins he was out there for goals. Him and hunwick do not pass my eye test either - senstroll
I don't talk about Hunwick because, well, I don't expect him to be here by the All Star break. Marincin though.....he must have nude picks of Babcock or something. |

I said this earlier, its not the turnovers that bother me about gardiner, its his lack of hustle once he loses the puck. |

Ask Garnie, I don't look at those stats. - bixll
I am asking if any do?
Everybody uses stats in some capacity.. Goals assists shots whatever.
i assume you look at box scores and hockey db at some point
None of that tells you what you expect from the stats being posted and are calling garbage..but people use them all day long. |

I just don't understand why anyone uses ANY stat outside of Expected Goals For. It's mind bottling. |

Because counting shots is easier than doing actual statistical analysis |

No I agree...but I think that 1st breakaway by Scheifle(sp) thanks to Gards pissed off the coach...I could be wrong...it could have been a couple other small gaffes.
I realize the graphs help a little...but they are not evaluations of talent. I'd rather a guy get hemmed in his own zone and give up a couple extra weak shots than constant 2 on 1's or breakaways or being out muscled in front of your own net for a tap in.

Still think Highway to Hell is their best album, Back in Black a close second. When you listen to them back to back, you can tell some of the songs on Back in Black were written at the time of Highway to Hell, just a different singer added a new dimension to them. |
