Other than Risto, this team lacks any transition ability in the top 4. Even McCabe struggles hitting guys in stride coming out of the zone

I have liked Kuli's first pass so far, but it's early to make a judgment.

Something that just occurred to me. Is Jack his full name? Or is it really Jonathan? Kinda like people call him Sam, but his name is Samson. And along those lines the Seahawks kicker actually spells his name Stephen Hauschka, but for his entire career going back to NC State they spelled it Steven, he never said anything because he "didn't want to be a pain". lol

And there you have it ...

John Robert "Jack" Eichel (born October 28, 1996) is an American ice hockey center. He is currently playing for the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League. Eichel was selected second overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by the Buffalo Sabres.[1]

Eichel was the recipient of the 2015 Hobey Baker Award, given to the top National Collegiate Athletic Association men's ice hockey player.[2] He is the second freshman to win the award and the first since Paul Kariya.

The negative vibe on this thread is unbelievable. It isn't even fun anymore. You all are great at being negative but when good things happen to either the Bills or Sabres you all run and hide.

I guess it's easy for some that come on here that hate most of the players and like to b!tch about this trade or that trade or Bogo sucks or Foligno blows. Step back and realize we are missing two huge pieces of our team. If you didn't know the final score you would have thought we lost 8-1 by the collection of comments last night.

Like I said, when people are negative they show up. When things go well they run and hide.

Every team has its dead weight and bad players that the fans harp on. And everyone has the fix . They even have it saved from their trades they did NHL 17.

Nah, no hiding, just more complaining about how things should have been done better.

BTW, Sabres are on pace for 60 points this season.

As much fun as being a "back seat GM" is, it goes too far way too often IMO.

I don't think you were around the day that literally all I was posting were gifs and memes of Eeyore.

I agree. Do I like everything they do? No. But I try to find the positives in everything. I just can't live my life in a pessimistic way. It seems like it would be awful.

40 points from my 2 SJ d-men last night doesn't hurt - Vlasic had 29 points himself. Pavelski has helped separate me from my opponent too, 44 points in 3 games with one more to play yet, Burns with 43 (opponent doesn't have him) and he has a game yet too.

It's so weird how views on sports players/teams change as you age. I see it in myself all the time. I'm very grouchy about certain players, wanting them out of here yesterday.

When I was a kid and the worst player on the team scored a goal, I was like "oh cool, we got a goal from random guy!" Now it's like, "wow, stop the presses. It's about damn time the multi-million dollar man put one in!"

It's pessimism, and I annoy myself with it sometimes. My wife called me the "football grinch" a couple weeks ago while I was complaining during a bills win.

I had two friends that had a group message going back and forth that I was on as well on Sunday and all they were doing was complaining about what the Bills were doing. I finally chimed in and told them to shut the F up because the Bills were winning and all they were doing was complaining. It gets really old, really quick. Especially for someone like me that doesn't function that way.

I thought this was the worst game they played. Penalties by Kulikov, Risto and Bogo, and they cannot generate any type of offense to save there lives.

We need puck movers.

It could be this young generation of kids wants everything perfect now and wants to win now and if you lose it's the worst thing in their life. Social media is a huge contributor to it.

I'm 57 and have lived through every Sabres season in their history. I look at things with this team more realistically and would prefer to take the glass half full mentality. People were jumping off bridges after the Montreal game, crazy. If they can hover around .500 when Eichel and Kane come back, it could be a great second half.

That's what multiple years of losing does to you.

Take the Chicago Cubs for example. The World Series is theirs to lose this year. Their fans are still waiting for the other shoe to drop.
