Of the top 4 teams (standings), here are some numbers

69 goals in 82 games by "secondary" forwards

252 goals scored
158 scored amongst their top 6 goal scorers

63 goals in 82 games by "secondary" forwards

Pittsburgh Penguins
245 goals scored
144 scored amongst their top 6 goal scorers
34 scored by their defensemen
67 goals in 82 games by "secondary" forwards

236 goals scored
133 scored amongst their top 6 goal scorers
39 scored by their defensemen
64 goals in 82 games by "secondary" forwards

267 goals scored
158 scored amongst their top 6 goal scorers

Average those 8 teams out and it's just shy of 70 goals per team scored outside their top 6 goal scorers and defensemen

Note, this is NOT based on lines, just merely # of goals when displaying each team individually and sorting.

Interesting info. Did you base it off of just who the top 6 forwards are? Or just by who the top 6 scorers were (as far as goals scored)?

But in answer, it is merely each team I sorted their forwards by goals and then added up the goal total of the top 6 goal scorers. I'm not interested in taking the time to find out each team's true top 6 players - especially since it fluctuates so much anyways - to base it that way.

BTW, Buffalo's numbers last season:

201 goals scored
114 scored by top 6 goal scorers
29 scored by defensemen
58 goals scored by the rest of the forwards (12 less than the "average" of those 8 teams)

You have your consequences, and yes, feel singled out - I can't recall others on here who have found it so amusing to let others "force" an avatar on them and it being something to ridicule gays in some way - and don't play naive and say that's not what this one and the other one are doing.

With that said, I won't be discussing this topic openly on the board any further and will be deleting others who can't stop talking about it too.

I think the reason I goofed earlier and mentioned only being 3 games into the season is because I paid absolutely zero attention to last night's game. I think I saw the score updates from Game Center on my phone, but then it went completely over my head.
