I like your blogs, a lot actually, but are you just going to claim everyone is playing very well despite all the evidence to dispute this?
Grant is pointless in 4 games, and has awful numbers in terms of possession of the puck, or even any shots on goal himself with 2.
He's getting some PP time and some offensive zone starts.
Maybe he starts playing well, but he hasn't yet. I wouldn't just replace him for the sale of replacing him, but we really need to stop pretending guys are playing well on this team outside of a choice few - sbroads24
I think he's doing well in his role as a fourth-line checking forward and on the pk which just gave up it's first goal in 14 opportunities...however, that pp time, imo, shouldn't exist...he's not a scorer, as his 44 nhl games without a goal attest

Yes seriously...
because his team lost via shootout which they did 3 against 3 (coaches orders)
They usually did 5 against 5 in training camp games.
Kevyn Adams was behind his teams bench and called him a mother franker POS
Found out after the losing team had to do sprints - Stripes77
if anyone needed to do sprints, it was Mancari |

I'd add Foligno to the list of playing well
And I did not see him the 1st time - sbroads24

I can agree on the PK part. But at even strength he is not playing well.
13 min a night with half his starts in the offensive zone should result in a point or 2 or some decent possession of the puck. However, I can see him playing well in the future in that role |

to be honest, I couldn't care less whether he's with the team or not...at 26 yrs. old he's pretty much what he's going to be for the rest of his career, unless something weird happens and he starts lighting the lamp |

Can't send Grant home now I get it, but if we would have had another David Legwand signed as the 13th forward before the season started I bet he would have made it through on waiver day.
Grant just hasn't impressed me except when on the PK. 5 on 5 he's playing with D-Lo and Moulson so I get he isn't going to be scoring like he was in preseason, but I just don't even see the same level of effort out of him either.
If we would have signed a shmo of a 13th forward, left him in the AHL, we'd have a lot better situation built for all the young wingers down there. I don't think I want to say Grant is playing bad hockey or anything, but I do think that GMTM missed a bet there. |

just checked it out...paille is on Brynäs IF of the SHL, the same elite team that Johansson belongs to...paille has 10 points (4+6) in 10 games |

good point...Legwand is still available, btw...could shift him or grant to the wing and not need to worry about yo-yoing the youngins |

He's a tweener. Great top 6 AHL player, Low end Bottom 6 NHLer. |

Yeah not sure what to think about the back and forth of that. Could light a fire under Fasching/Bailey/Baptiste to push it to get that spot back/again...could also confuse and stress out a player as well. Very unsure what to think. |

With the Amerks playing twice before Buffalo travels to Philly I think it was to get those guys playing time |

The Sabres better not rush him this could make or break our franchise for the coming years IMO |

Have to support that idea. I was surprised Falk or Fedun wasn't 7th D just for Nelson's playing time as it is. Think it will be the same guys getting the call back up?

I think the reason Falk or Fedun didn't stay was because they would have to clear waivers on their way down again. They were sent down when half of the NHL started sending players down. If they stayed there is a better chance they would get claimed.
That being said I think Baptiste and Nelson come back |

We can't be THAT stupid...can we? I think they'll take their time, have to protect him at all costs. Still looking forward to him being back around Christmas time, nice little present for Sword Fans. |

Makes sense, Baptiste has been impressive in this short stint. Now if we had an injury on the back end, if I'm understanding right, Fedun/Falk could come up as an injury call up and then be returned without having to clear right? - RhinoFan
It depends on the type of call up I believe. |

I don't think he could do further damage. He's not a fat-ass like a certain goalkeeper. |
