the thing that bothers me is the lack of goal scoring. outside of that edmonton game we haven't been able to finish - IndianaSabresFan
I'm not saying that there aren't areas that are a concern. I just don't get why some people are so upset.
The lack of goal scoring comes from the fact that we don't typically get much sustained pressure in the offensive zone, which stems from the fact that the transition game needs work.
They did that well in the Edmonton game. If we could get guys to actually make better passes, it would help. Our passing is probably one of the things I notice most in game. It's downright atrocious much of the time.
They need to bring in Gordon Bombay and have a passing clinic or something.

I think his point is they scored more goals in that 1 game than they have in the other 3 combined. - stashu
Talbot had a rough night. And then their big off-season acquisition Adam Larsson managed to concuss Gustavsson about 2 mins after they put him in there in relief.
just so I'm clear.....when Eichel gets back, are we going to have to endure some time of "settling in" and "getting up to game speed"????
I just wanna know ahead of time because yanno....McD had a goal and 2 assists in game back...Matthews had FOUR in his first game....Laine scored in his first and had hatty in his 4th.
I just wanna be clear on how many games Jack gets to "get rolling" or if he is going to be held to the same standards as his peers...you know ...the rest the "generational players"

Uh, yes considering several NHL players and countless doctors have said high ankle sprains linger for longer than 6 to 8 weeks. This will most likely be an injury that sticks around for most of the season. But im sure you knew that.

just one more question if you would....
is this still the issue with our franchise goalie or has the statute of limitations expired on him??
