Those crutches are merely a prop, he just doesn't want to play. I'm sure he's been on record in the past about how he's so burnt out playing hockey that he needs some extra time off. - stashu

Whats there to like???
The defense??? The goaltending??? The two #2 overall "game changers"??

4 games = whole season
15/16 Penguins
2 points in their first 4 games
HOFer Sidney Crosby with 0 points
Obviously their season was done, right? - stashu
We certainly are not the penguins of 15/16. Also sports are a what have you done for me lately business. So IMO it's completely reasonable to be pissed off that we are in last place again. |

so fries savior is hurt now..is going to be playing hurt when he gets back and may be suffering lingering affects for a long time to come...
Can anyone tell me when I can reasonably expect OUR #2 to be contributing in the same manner as Laine, Barkov, Nylander, Matthews??? - Ripped Fuel

just a lot Of holes ( a back up ) in my opinion of course I think that's the second most important thing you need
I don't like it That half the people on the roster they're calling is third line players or second line Twiner's
Dimitri is surprising me how solid he is but I really think we should trade for defenseman might be too late now .I just don't like how D looks as a a whole |

There's a difference between being annoyed at being "last" and claiming that your roster is filled with #2 overall selection busts.
There's also the fact that it's ridiculously irrational to judge a season on 4 games (well, an 82 game season anyways - football would be different) |

And I know you are smart enough to realize JT Compher isn't in the NHL yet, and Zads was not last year either, but I'm wondering if your objective enough to concede that results from a year where 2/3 of the other half of the deal were not in the NHL isn't a fair comparison. - sbroads24
Yes, I'll say that last year's data isn't the only data that should be used to evaluate the trade. But I will insist that it's relevant.
I'll also insist that what happened in the two franchises due to contributions - or failures - of others who had absolutely nothing to do with the transaction, is completely irrelevant.
I'll also say that at this point in time, all of the data "in the barn" points to us getting the better of the deal. And I'll conclude that that opinion may change as time goes on and more data becomes available and relevant. |

Why do you keep talking about Barkov? Do you have a secret crush on him or something?
Also, he's already contributed for us. See: Sabres, Buffalo 2015-2016.
It's not like he hasn't played 1 game for us yet. We got to see him for 81 games last year. He'll contribute when he's healthy enough to do so. Until then, he's on couch duty trying to heal up so he can get back and be the contributor you'd like him to be. |

Because Barkov is a #2 overall selection that actually CONTRIBUTES to his team |

Philly played in Montreal last night and we haven't played in five days. If we don't come out and kick ass early I will be more than dissatisfied. If they come out flat and get out played, I would put the full blame on bylsma. |

What about the 16 games he missed last year? Are those irrelevant at this point? Or was he contributing while he was in the press box unlike Eichel? |

Usually teams that have off come out really flat I have them losing tonight not because they're bad because of the time off they have
And I don't see their back up saving their butts |

Remember last year when we went into the season with Chad Johnson as our backup? Most of you were not happy with that choice by Murray either. He held his own in there. Can we give the backup a chance before we burn him at the stake? |

I'm only 1 woman. Not more than that.
And yes, it does matter. Especially when we've played the fewest amount of games. It's not like we've played 6 or 7 and teams ahead of us have only played 4.
