Yes, I'll say that last year's data isn't the only data that should be used to evaluate the trade. But I will insist that it's relevant.

I'll also insist that what happened in the two franchises due to contributions - or failures - of others who had absolutely nothing to do with the transaction, is completely irrelevant.

I'll also say that at this point in time, all of the data "in the barn" points to us getting the better of the deal. And I'll conclude that that opinion may change as time goes on and more data becomes available and relevant.

Fact: Ristolainen on pace for 102.5 points. Something literally only 5 defensemen have done. Ever. He's obviously not going to do it, but since we're in Crazytown today I'm going to say he is.

If you got hurt at your job, like Eichel did, they have this thing called Worker's Compensation. And there's not a damn thing your boss can do about it. I think you're thinking of Sylvain Turgeon. But even he was pretty damn good with 495 points in 669 games.

Although they sound alike "rationale" and "rational" mean 2 very different things. A "rationale" or "set of reasons" doesn't have to be "rational"(based in logic and reason) but being "rational" is always based in logic and reason.

Your rationale while on the surface seems logical. Is anything but. Hence why it's a rationale, but not rational.
