No joke, I flipped out on my best friend the other day because between him complaining about the Bills and the Sabres I just couldn't take it anymore. I was at the 49ers game two Sundays ago and him and another friend of mine were blowing up my phone with a group message doing nothing but complaining about the team. Let's not forget, they WON that game 45-16.

After the Sabres blew the 3 goal lead the other day and he texted me about it, I just lost it. It's been brewing ever since he dragged me out of the Vancouver game in Feb 2015 because we were WINNING. After Tuesday, I just couldn't take it anymore and snapped. Told him in he didn't like what was going on and that if it was making him that miserable to stop watching because I was sick of the incessant complaining.

I just really don't know how people let this stuff get to them that much. It's supposed to be entertainment. If you're not being entertained anymore, it's time to find a new form of entertainment.

It sounds like someone is just TOO wrapped up in sports. I get it, we're all passionate but when you're conveying that incessantly people tend to get worried and or just annoyed.

No, you under rate him (Yandle) because he scores PP points and doesn't hit people.

What people are realizing, and have been for years, is that the skill set of passing the puck quickly out of the zone, skating, and offense, have proven to have a much bigger effect on winning than the traditional ways people measure D men.

If Zach Bogosian was great at outlet passes like you say (he's not), we would have possession of the puck more when he's on the ice (we dont)

When Eichel went down, I expected to lose more than win but still maintain a balance.

When Kane went down I expected more losses than before.

I'm not okay with how things are going, but I expected a bumpy start.

That's basically what it is. I apologized for snapping, because I could have handled the situation better myself, and he said that I was right in that he lets it get to him too much. Sports have kind of been his "hobby" for most of his adult life and the fact that the teams haven't been great has really worn on him. I told him I'll help him find other hobbies/things to do. He was perfectly ok with that. (I should probably also point out that he's a total pessimist about everything and I'm the polar opposite of that).

Trust me, I don't like some of the things I've seen either, but I don't let it have any kind of impact on my actual day to day life. My mood doesn't change just because the Bills/Sabres stink.
