you know im starting to go though this recently. Ive been with my girlfriend for a substantial amount of time now (soon to propose) and I legitimately was steaming underneath the surface because I couldn't watch the bills vs 49ers game because she wanted to do something different. She just didn't understand how important they were to me and asked if I could explain it to her. I reflected and realized that missing one game to spend time with my future wife is probably not a big deal and sports shouldn't hold that much weight in my life.
That being said...its always something to look forward to in the day when its gameday and like you said takes your mind off work and life for a few hours

Murray has been doing a fine job and I believe his plan is right on target. End of this year we have 13m coming off the books and 10m the following year. We have the room to resign the guys we need to and go after what we need. This year's goal was to fight for a playoff spot, which we still could do if we can manage to tread water until Eich and Kane get back.
Bylsma is not going anywhere either. Sure, I wish he coached with more fire and change up the game style when playing with a lead, but he is still a good coach and will be given at least 3 years to coach a team that is still being put together.
It is stupid to compare players who are hurt with guys actually playing on a nightly basis. Carey Price only won 10 games last year. He sucks. Right?

Eichel is injury prone and a bust because of that, McDavid is great.
