It cant have failed if it was never completed to begin with. When they put the product on the ice and claim greatness and then it falls short then you can say it failed. Most of us didnt evenexpect playoffs with a healthy lineup. There are no delusions about where this team is at and what it needs going forward. I like the Core they've built so far...but its not done, it doesnt have the required personnel to be considered done. - Sabresfan-365

Sitting back has never been a good way to win a hockey game no matter the lead...
Disco Dan needs to learn that quickly.
As far as OT is concerned I didn't really have an issue with what they were trying to do but they don't have enough talent in the lineup right now to make it happen. That is where they miss Eichel and Kane. Tons of speed and a lot of open ice.

That doesn't mean he expects the turnaround to be immediate.
"When you tear it down, it doesn't happen overnight," Murray said. "I want to rebuild here properly, which takes time. But it doesn't have to take years."
I stand corrected on the 5 year comment, but he did also say it wouldn't happen overnight.
He's had two drafts so far and less than a season and a half. - adambuffalo
