What do you want us to say ? - cabin
Pain or damage don’t end the world. Or despair or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you’re dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man… and give some back. |

Goaltending is not the issue people need to get off of that train.
5 of the top 9 are his so by definition technically that's most.
Eichel, Reinhart, ROR, Kane, Okposo everyone else was here already. 2 of those are injured at the moment.
The blue line is lacking another top pairing guy. The rest would fall into place, but those players do not grow on trees. - Stripes77
He also gave Matt Moulson a 5 year deal with a no-movement clause after he traded him away. Regardless of whether or not that was a good deal, that, to me, considers him a Murray acquisition.
3 years is plenty of time to purge the roster of the predecessor's players. The only reason any of "Regier's guys" are here is because Murray wanted them to be. That falls on him to, if (key word if) this team fails.
At the end of the day, the only risk to having Lehner as your #1 is health. |

His quote on when his handlers came to him and said they want to offer you a part on TWD is awesome.
Something to the effect of They wanna offer you a part. "It's Negan". They can't say let me make a call. "No, it's Negan and I'm fvcking doing it." |

Or couldn't move them due to health reasons (Ennis) or is still unsure of what he has with them (Girgensons). |

Moulson was a UFA, he chose to resign him. That's 6 of 9. Tyler Ennis was re-signed by Murray. That's 7 of 9. Girgensons and Foligno were resigned by Murray. That's 9 of 9. Gionta was signed by Murray, that's 10.
Grant was signed by him, D-lo.
This is his team.
Can it work? I sure hope so. But he himself said it wouldn't take long. He needs to be held to the same standard as Bylsma.
Bylsma has been here 1 season, with a roster that keeps changing, but it's fine to question him and play "armchair coach" but not allowed to question the roster given to him. |

Ennis, I will give you, although he could have moved him pre 2015-2016 if he really wanted to (not saying he should or shouldn't have).
Girgensons, on the other hand, is simply a product of a choice every GM has to make. Do I keep the unknown with supposedly more potential, or do I move him and acquire someone who is considered more of a "sure thing"? At the end of the day, the success or failure falls on Murray depending on how that works out. He doesn't get a pass simply because Regier drafted him. |

I believe in a perfect world Foligno and Gionta would be on the 4th line.
Larrson as well.
It was pretty clear he is unsure what to do with Girgensons and had Ennis been healthy last season I don't think he would be on this team especially with how he made a play for Vesey.
Moulson isn't an issue this season so far, Foligno has been fine. Grant playing the PP is just wrong but there is nobody else. Nylander isn't ready, Baptiste, Bailer and Fasching aren't yet either.
I just don't get all the complaining. The only MAJOR hole is on the top pairing. |

I think the Girgensons thing is a little bit of can he play a system? Will he give me the effort I saw when he "made" the All Star team? What can I get for him?
For all we know Girgensons was out the door and Murray decided against it the last second, or that he signed him to a cheap contract with the hope of moving him and was planning on it until he lost 2 top 6 players?
The thing is Murray isn't sold on him. I can't fault him for giving him a prove it type contract. |
