It's not that they're struggling that is the problem, it's that both the Bills and the Sabres have been struggling for a combined 100+ years that is the problem, it gets on your nerves after a while.

I really can't understand the amount of joy and gloating going on in a thread that supposedly made up of this team's fans. More posts tonight are happy to see that failure than sad.

I can't see why people take such joy from bad developments.

People like to see their constant complaints validated. Two top three forwards out, Reinhart hasn't found his way yet this season and if you remember I was perhaps the biggest #NeverReinhart guy on here and you haven't seen me gloating. I'm just taking it as it comes this season, with Eichel and to a lesser extent Kane out this team is going to struggle.

Eichel is excellent, and he's dead wrong about him

But he's not really wrong about much else. Just brash and unreasonable about it.

Sam Reinhart looks nothing like a 2nd overall pick, nothing. Not even close. He didn't last year. He looked like a solid complimentary piece to Eichel that had an unsustainable shooting %. It really sucks watching guys like Nylander, Draisaitl, Ehlers, Bennett, Larkin and even David f*cking Pastrnak look 10x as dynamic as Reinhart. He's been a joke this year so far.

No, I think only a small few people here are down on Jack. It's the team itself, they look like the team we've been watching for the past 5 years, like they're at the mindset of, oh, Jack is hurt so let's mail the season in coming out of the gate.

What I see makes me want to puke and I kind of have to blame the coach, he needs to put a boot up their collective asses. Guys like Reinhart need to step up and have more than 2 pts. at seven games in. Nylander has 9-10 pts already, and when I watch Sabres games, Reinhart isn't even noticeable. It's like he's not on the ice at all. He's not the only one, but this performance, at this point, is unacceptable.

Right. I could understand if he's out there stickhandling in a phone booth and working his tail off but things just aren't clicking yet, but I don't even notice him. Grant was a mistake, I wonder if we could dump him? And, Fasching needs to be sent down, he's not ready. Murray should pick up some of these waiver wire guys because we can't get much worse.
