A good hard hit where he charged, left his feet and made head contact. If Voracek had been concussed, they would have suspended. (Actually, Holzer was not injured,e either). - bmeltzer
Disagree.
Kulikov's feet left the ice after impact and clearly was a result of the impact. Weise was leaving his feet and really did jump into it.
There was some head contact with Jake, but I would say 90% of hit went through his torso and upper shoulder area. There was definitely more primary head contact with Weise's hit. Holzer appeared injured but that could have been ketchup I guess.
Both hits look similar on the first initial glances. But after slowing each one down and studying it, they are different and I understand why DOPS suspended one and not the other. |

If I was Vegas I'd tab Stolarz or Laughton if either are left unprotected. - mayorofangrytown
Can Stolarz be claimed?

If Del Zotto is traded I'd go
Giroux
Voracek
Simmonds
Schenn
Couturier
Read (depending if he keeps it up)
Weise
Gostisbehere
Gudas
Manning
Mason - Streit2ThePoint
you'd leave Raffl, Laughton and Cousins unprotected?

Yes and right now without signing Mase or Neuvy he has to be exposed also. |

I would, yes. On the fence with Weise and Cousins. I'd flip a coin at this point |

There will probably be better options to claim. I don't see him getting claimed.

I'm sure this falls under "circumvention" but, if needed, I would do this:
Extend Schultz for the veteran minimum for one year. Tell him thayou intend to waive him to Lehigh Valley. However, should he choose, you will agree to mutually terminate the contract on June 30th, making him a UFA on July 1st. This way, he's actually making a little (well, technically, a good amount) of money prior to becoming a UFA, which is what he's set to become with $0 of extra money. - jmatchett383
I just don't see the offers for soon-to-be 35 year old Schultz being much more than $1m in free agency.
Hell, he's being healthy scratched in favor of Andrew MacDonald! |

This is my view on Stolarz even with Subban turning into a dumpster fire in Boston. |

I hope they don't but if they don't who do they take? There's not going to be any exposed players on Phillys roster with more upside. Hell... any upside. |

I'm happy we don't have two young AHL goalies in the NHL like the Bruins do. I don't think it would be pretty. |

In that case, even better: as long as he's willing to ride the bus in LV, he'll be making a few thousand dollars he wouldn't get in FA. |

In regards to Laughton, if they deem him someone they don't plan to protect than I would move him at the TDL. Maybe try to get another young player back you might fit a need. |

Is there a limit on the number of goalies they can select? If so then I'd say he's safe. If they just want to take the best available player from each team I think he and Laughton would be the targets. |

They can only pick 30 and have a min of 14-9-3 so theoretically they could pick 7 goalies |

The goalie situation will be something to watch in philly. I would assume Sandstrom might come over next season. You have Lyon and Stolarz. One of Neuvirth and Mason will be resigned. And now you have Carter Hart who people think is a future NHL goalie. |
