He is great on the PK. That is true. - rmiethaner
Also leading the team in points per 60. And on a 3 game point streak since he's actually been given minutes.
I mean, it's really no big deal. I hope he sucks tomorrow and we win. I just find it funny how the Wet Bandit and the Sergeant seem to get really upset over someone's opinion.
A. He wasn't trolling. He was serious, Armia has been the best player in that trade this year
B. Again, don't take my word for it, just go ahead and read
C. I didn't back track a thing, I said he's played studly, he has.
D. He's went from the 4th line playing 10 min, to top 6 minutes and special teams time, you know, cause he's so irrelevant
D. Just by you saying I'm wrong, doesn't make you right. - sbroads24
a) You can be both a troll and serious at the same time. I'm pretty sure Ripped is being 100% serious. Being the best by default in 7 games isn't exactly being right.
b) Read what? His whopping 3 points?
c) You absolutely tried to backtrack from studly trying to say you meant nice player. And eventually you owned it, but not before like 5 people ripped you for it.
d) 3 points.
d again) Whatever. Your judgement regarding the the Sabres and the Jets in any kind of comparison is highly suspect. If Armia had never been a part of the Sabres and therefore wasn't involved in that trade you wouldn't even know the guy's name. He's just some guy who has 3 points for the Winnipeg Jets. And I think that alone makes it obvious that he's not a stud.
So I just want to make sure I've got this right. Armia, 3 points, "studly". What does that make Laine with 8? I don't even know if there's a word to convey how good he is, but surely he makes Mario look like a hobo right?
Man, that Scott Wilson sure is a stud! I mean hell! he's tied for 207th in league scoring!
Johann Larsson has 3 points in 7 games, is he a stud?

You're kind of assuming a lot.
I've watched Armia a ton. Trust me, I knew who he was. I watched a lot of Rochester games. And was pissed he didn't get a shot.
And again, this is the great thing about analytics. They can predict who will start to score. Armia was playing really well and causing chances his first 3 games. It was bound to start to end up on the score sheet for him. It has the last 3 games.
If it upsets you and the Sergeant, I apologize. You are free to ignore it. It was a copied tweet of someone's opinion I share.

I'm kind of disappointed I'm not sergeant semantics.
But it's just more incredulity than anything else that you actually believe that Armia is a stud because of your blind hatred of Tim Murray.

I was a big Armia fan a while ago.
You realize there is a specific reason I don't like Murray, right? Part of that is trading guys I believe are going to be really good.

The specific reason? No I don't, you've listed so many over the last couple years. He's a drunk, he traded your favorite player in Myers, he traded Lemieux, his beady eyes, his douchyness...

You're confusing me with someone, but that's ok. - sbroads24
Probably, a lot of people don't like him and the reasons kind of all run together. What is the specific reason you don't like him? Did he kick your dog or something?

I'm not really sure how much more clear a few people have to make it. He traded a lot of things for a couple of things, and those couple of things (outside ROR) don't contribute to wins.
I'm sure the Sergeant is back reading currently to find inconsistencies, but that's my beef.
Is this really worth the rehashing? Didn't we win today?
PS, Im predicting what the Sergeants response will be to a specific sentence. I can feel it

You said there was a specific reason. I was just curious. That seems like a lot of general things. And you said the trades were only part of it. So there's another specific thing over and above the trades. And he hasn't really made any big signings other than Okposo, and I've yet to hear anybody female dog about that, neither did he fail to sign anyone and let them go like a Briere or Drury, or any of the 37 Bills players they let walk over the last 15 years that went on to bigger and better things.

Hey, I like some of the things he's done. Okposo is one of them.
And trust me, when I'm wrong, I'm wrong, happens all the time. I started to change my tune on Kane last year twice, then the All-Star thing happened, then the bar thing happened.
I also loved his draft, and have said it 100 times now, including this morning, but that's not something worth quoting I guess.
We went through the "suffering" phase for one reason, to land a piece to build around. We did that. Now we have to properly build around him.
