Agreed. He needs to have a good defensive guy with him, because at the moment he seems to be turning into a defensieve...

It just looks to me like he's trying to do too much out there.

But a guy who still somewhat 'has it'. Tough to find.

doesnt need to necessarily have it... the leafs are trying to be a team that competes hard but the expectations on winning are low.

just getting a guy who has been there done that so to speak would probably really help...imo of course... lol i am not an NHL GM for a reason lol

None of us are, but we can see who can play and who can't, regardless of what advance stats will have you believe.

I just think any 'teacher' has to be able to back up what he's saying with actions, at least somewhat. Some of it is watching, but yeah, mostly listening.

He has a long way to go before he should even be in consideration as a number 1 dman.
- Fakepartofme

Agreed. IMO he'll never be a #1dman. Possibly a 2 if we somehow get a Weber, but I think he'll plateau at an above average 3

still early in the year... and i do think this is more of a "let's see what we have" type year for the leafs

4 on 3

What a way to ruin good games...just like the 3 on 3 OT gimmick.

On the outdoor rink maybe, play a good game 5v5 and then end it with a game of shinny - meh

Coincidentals shouldn't result in a 4 on 4 if a 2nd penalty is taken.

Personally I love the 3v3 - much more attacking, end-to-end hockey and makes it less likely to end the game in a shootout.

Leafs played good last night.

But okay...is that the way the Habs play every game? That's the only game I've watched for the Habs this season but Price just puts that team on their backs.

They are a mediocre team with an insanely good goalie

3 games in 4 nights, and a big one vs. Tampa Bay...maybe that's it. They didn't look like they had the same jump last night.

Everyone makes it sounds like the league's giving the Habs an unfair advantage because price is on their team... he's apart of the team, they're a good team. Lots of teams wouldn't be as good if they're missing their top player

It'll always be a sport that I love, been playing for as long as I can remember.

Especially now that I arrived in the Northwest and there's an over 30s league... at 32 I'm one of the youngest and it shows.... 6 goals in 3 games

Yup.

6 guys out there at any one time per team.... if one of those 6 is the best in the world at that position then you're always going to have an advantage - especially when he gets to be out there for all 60 minutes.

Some teams can do without their best player. You are right they won't be as good but..no player is more vital to a teams success than Price. Everyone talks about Crosby being the best player in this league but this guy is the best at his position.

All I'm saying is besides Price the team is meh. But as long as they have price they will be a "good team" which is all you can ask for

Shea Weber is going to get 90 points this year. Radulov is a top-5 forward in the league.

The Habs are a very good team, but right now, every single possible thing is going for them. They are contenders in the east. They are not the greatest team to ever step on the ice.

Kinda wish the Leafs won last night. But after the start of the season I guess this is at least a "tried" win.
