I don't know about others but I'm genuinely excited about this team. I mean, they obviously have some issues to overcome, but I think that with a bit of a personnel change and some more experience the team defense concept will come. From there I think that Andersen will be a perfectly good goalie going forward.

The fact that there's so many young guys playing on the Marlies who are really fighting to make the big team really is impressive too, especially given how well they seem to be doing there.

they clearly stink... can't even beat the Habs.

t e a r i t d o w n

or something like that... is what we were hearing early in the week because Andersen was impersonating Andersieve...

You're judging them on the one game they didn't have any jump this season. They are scoring 3-4 goals per game with our back up having started half of them.

It was their third game in four nights after leaving it all on the ice in a hard fought battle against the bolts. I'm surprised they came out with a win, but good teams find a way to win games they shouldn't have. Not lose ones they should have won
This team is far from meh.

We had 31 shots btw, what happens if Anderson doesn't play a very good game himself?

sounds like a preamble to "plan the parade"

just wait until they leave Price in a game when they are getting beaten badly... I mean what could go wrong?

No. LW more valuable than C. Tons of C options. Quality LW very limited.

Habs team is looking very good. Obviously and easily looking one of the best, if not the best, team in the league. That said were talking about a roughly 10 game stretch which is a small sample size. In fact the habs have started this hot 3 seasons in a row now no? Is easy to say don't judge them over one game but it seems tougher to resist judging them after game 9 of an 82 game season.

Fact is the Habs aren't 8-0-1 good. They are on pace to go unbeaten in regulation and you make it seem like they can keep this pace up. Like just about every team in every sport that plays 82 games, you're going to have hot and cold streaks. The common mantra seems to be you're never as good as your winning streak and never as bad your losing streak. Will be interesting once they hit a rough patch. Only time will tell where the Habs settle and level off at, but they definitely look like a very very good team right now.

Agreed.
They need another forward, not much but 3rd liners in the system.
Contrary to what some think, our defense is fine considering who they are playing in front of.
Just disagree that this is a "meh" team.

When you have Price guarding the twine it's going to be hard to be a meh team

Considering we ve lost majority of our games, points wise we aren't in bad shape, due to getting four goal (frank)ing leads and then losing in ot.

I don't think Hyman is good enough offensively to play with Matthews and Nylander. Have seen him kill too many offensive zone chances and plays. You gotta love his work ethic and drive but when the pucks on his stick he seems lost, think he's better suited for a third or fourth line role.. Won't happen just what I've seen. I'd like to see brown with those two, maybe Kapenen or leipsic. Not sure, just don't like Hyman there.
