Im not sure it needs to be solved. Like i said in my other post it may benefit us and wristoe more long term to find a defencemen who is almost or of equal talent to play on the other pair. Takes the pressure and minutes off and you can have one pair take the tough defensive matchups (Trouba) and the other pair takes the bulk of the offensive match ups.

Great weekend for this team. They looked so fragile Thursday. Nice turn around. Risto is fantastic. The time is now for Murray to work the phones and land a true top 2 defenseman. I'd love to know who we could get for 23. He was horrible against philly, and Minnesota and invisible again today. If he is only going to play one of 4....

Understood, and well said. But as we have talked about for a while now, a solid LD for Wristoe will go a long way for this team. You can trade for Trouba but the question then remains, do you re-sign Kooly? If you trade McCabe in a Trouba package, you are starting to deplete your LD options. Guhle won't be ready for 2 years. And then there's the elephant in the room Bogo. Is he on your 3rd pair? A $5M player on your 3rd pair is not what I want.

You'd probably re-sign kuli and then look for a lefty option in the off season. In this scenario the lefty you're looking for wouldnt cost as much because you've already got #1 and #2 in Risto and trouba. This is where Fowler becomes an option in theory

I thought Bogo played well today. Him and Kuli looked solid in my opinion.

I guess our resident pessimistic ####### forgot about #23s recent 2 point game and the chemistry he had with #15 in the 2nd half last year. But hey, let's treat hockey like it's fantasy hockey.
