There doesn't seem to be consensus on that. Capfriendly has it "trade may have voided clause" I raised the question yesterday that, if when they waived they waived it permanently or if it was temporary. People seem to be more clear that Gorges does not have a M-NTC, but are less sure about Bago. I suppose someone could dig through the CBA, and look for the answer, but even then there seem to be some rules that aren't quite in there or the interpretation is a bit different. - Wetbandit1
My understanding is Bogo still has a NMC because it cannot kick in until he is UFA eligible. He wasn't UFA eligible when he was traded, thus he didn't have a NMC yet.
NTC are different, because you can have them at any age, NMC cannot be applied to players under a certain age.
So what you're saying is....you're ok with a #2 over all pick having FOUR points in 8 games...basically 41 a year.....and... you're ok with a #2 overall needing his Lederhosen BFF to come back in order to make any impact??
Gee ...I don't know....I always saw a #2 overall pick as a player that ..when the team suffers obstacles ...picks his game up and LEADS HIS TEAM....I never thought a #2 overall pick gets to say..."I need my buddy..." if he needs 15 to hold his hand all the time...he IS a bust.....and should be traded for a defenseman with HEART.
BUT ...hey....we all have different expectations of a #2. Three of the last 4 games...hes been invisible. So...you're saying when eichel got hurt...we lost Reinhart for 25 games too?

He's in his 9th season. He's UFA eligible. You only need 7 seasons or be 27. But he was traded before his 7th season was completed so maybe that's why he didn't have it when he was traded here.

Yeah, it goes by when he was traded. IMO sabres will just keep 8 skaters, and resign Kulikov after the expansion draft. Las Vegas won't select him without a contract.
