No you're right because of his age the 9 game slide rule still applies. for the next 2 years in fact.

Of course it's sugar coating, and losses like that Philly game are horrible, but 2 of the 3 regulation losses are to:

The #1 team in the NHL
The #3 team in the NHL

Their 2 wins are to:

The #2 team in the NHL
The defending Atlantic Division champs


The complete cynicism disgusts me.
