I agree, I want more out of him on a regular basis.

However, I think the consensus was always that Sam is more of an assist guy than a scoring type, and if he's not playing with the guys who will really be his long term linemates (guys who can't be expected to bury the set-ups he's providing) I can give him a longer leash for the time being.

Fair question to ask whether he's providing the set ups or not.

I have some personal experience with this: it's called an "ACD". An adjournment in contemplation of dismissal. Kane doesn't admit he did anything wrong, the prosecution doesn't admit the charges were incorrect or can't be proven.

It more like "Meh, what's everyone so worked up about. Go back to your life for six months, and we'll go to ours, and if we don't hear from one another anymore we'll forget about it. But you screw up again before I forget about this, I'm gonna be very pissed."
