I'd say the Minny game was more of a measuring stick.

The Leafs are for sure a team they should beat though. If they don't, there's a problem.

However, there's a reason games are played and seasons aren't determined beforehand. Because you never know what can happen. Especially when it's a divisional game.

The preseason game against a bunch of kids and 2 guys that will NEVER play goalie for the Sabres... that a great reason.

they might win or they might not... they play these games for a reason... if they loose 8-1 or whatever the score was I'll worry (not a chance in He double hockey sticks) otherwise no big deal, either way

Fans have no RIGHT to anything in sports. They don't DESERVE anything, and they don't EARN anything.

Fans have the OPPORTUNITY to enjoy the diversion of following their team.

And in taking advantage of that opportunity, what people SHOULD be doing is considering their team in context, not reaching conclusions based on mere "snapshot" data.

This should be enough that I don't have to elucidate (yeah I said (frank)ing elucidate!) why I know that people who were upset after the first 6 games of the 2016-17 season were out of line.
