Guess Boston, Florida, and Edmonton should all pack it up and trade away everything and start rebuilding then. It's an 82 game season, if they lose to Toronto it's not a big deal. Good teams have bad games, bad teams have good games, average teams have good games and bad games, and no one game decides where a team is.

The sky doesn't need to be on the verge of collapse. Wait until we're 20 games into the year and then we can start to see where the teams are.

Technically, we are tied for a wild card spot right now. Shouldn't draw any conclusions about that other than it's surprising with how inconsistent we've been - but I'll take that pace into Thanksgiving when Eichel comes back without a doubt.

If we're over .500 when Eichel comes back the team is in good shape. Now, once the year turns to 2017 we have a bit harder of a schedule. Back to backs, higher up teams, still have to do the Cali trip. Winning these games now is important to keep pace.

You don't get it Gerbe. In a small sample size, the Sabres W-L record is irrelevant (unless we are winning) However, the Sabres defensive numbers in a small sample size are concrete.

The game is 2 points and 1 game out of 82. At game 10 in the season it is not the difference between 8th and 16th in the conference.
