Nothing guarantees victory. I'm just glad I don't have to look at him on the ice. - PLindbergh31
other then him backing off on the 1st goal, he looked decent last night, I thought
then again I haven't suffered through all of the other games

He was a #3 on a team that truly lacked defensive depth. After Hedman and Carle, there was a big dropoff. - MJL
He's a better player at age 26 than he was at age 23. |

He created a few really good scoring chances in the first period with no look passes back to the D. skated well last night too just was in no man's land on that zetterberg goal. |

On that first goal, he played it right in the man to man coverage. Stayed between the player and the goal, up high in the zone. The shot was going well wide, and unfortunately, deflected in off of Voracek. Simply bad luck.

That guarantees victory tonight, just like it did against Pittsburgh.
But it means they can't make room for MDZ by waiving MacDonald. So someone else has to go to the AHL. - Feanor

Per GM Ron Hextall, D Andrew MacDonald will be out approximately one week with a lower-body injury.

Schenn centering the 4th line.
Best Guess from SoP:
Michael Raffl – Claude Giroux – Wayne Simmonds
Travis Konecny – Sean Couturier – Jake Voracek
Matt Read – Pierre-Edouard Bellemare – Roman Lyubimov
Chris VandeVelde – Brayden Schenn – Nick Cousins |

Hakstol doesn't drive me crazy like Berube did but I also don't think he's hitting all the right buttons either. While Weise deserves to be scratched, I'm confused how Weise went from fourth line to the top line to a healthy scratch in less than 24 hours. Schenn in my opinion was a real difference maker last night but is somehow centering the fourth line. Now I'm hearing Mason isn't starting tonight? Neuvirth got the win but he wasn't exactly standing on his head.
I give him less than two seasons starting from now with decisions like these. |

Placing a player on IR doesn't help with the cap space. If Del Zotto is ready to come back, having MacDonald injured limits the available moves. |

That Schenn at center thing hopefully doesn't last long. I had hoped we fully decided he was best at wing. |
