Gudas was out for the season and Coburn was able to contribute to that team that came within 2 wins of a Cup.

Not saying I think Gudas is a top defender, just possibly a reason why TB gave up what they did.

I personally think they didn't value Gudas as much as you would think a top team would value a top defenseman. The injury was definitely part of it, with TB needing to add to their defense for a playoff run.
