He is a rookie. He may have hit a small wall already. gets jacked for the first few games and then goes into a lull for a bit. He might be thinking too much right now and trying harder not to make a mistake than he is just playing how he got there in the first place. I fully expect him to bounce back.

Probably because that line played 8 minutes, and was taken off the ice everytime there was a faceoff

He's been playing well for the most part, getting a good amount of shots in while not being an issue defensively. There's been some good saves and some bad bounces, but there's nothing to worry about.
