Like maybe some consistent moderating. Add more if they have to. But lately it's been out of control with the trolls. It wouldn't rise to the level of personal attacks if it had been nipped in the bud in the first place.

It might be insulting but it's pretty close to the truth. When Eichel isn't generating the scoring chances, they are few and far between when Reinhart is on the ice.

He makes some nice passes, and even some nice defensive plays, but he doesn't make his linemates better, and doesn't score goals when the defense is focused on him. That's not a franchise player.

This isn't me saying trade him, or he sucks. He just isn't a high end top line player. We have 1 of those.

Who ever said he was? The goal was always McDavid or Eichel. Reinhart was a bonus. And let's not forget that he was the #3 prospect with many having he and Bennett at a dead heat and Bennett is certainly not a franchise player, so... So it's not like the Sabres pulled a Boston and went off the board with a 1st round pick.

I dont know about that. He seems to set up a decent amount of chances in the o-zone and as far as making his teammates better im pretty sure every line he goes on he instantly brings the possession numbers up by a significant amount, which on this team is quite a feat.

I think hes a first line winger and even better so when playing with 15. But as you pointed out, what he brings is already well covered partly by o'reilly and by eichel and while id love to keep him, you cant not seriously consider offers that include high end d-men. The offense can survive if you move reinhart and replace him with a different trade or free agent signing. The same cannot be said about the d-core.

Holy hell I just saw that. Wow, the Blue Jackets hung 10 on Montréal. All the more reason why Price is the MVP. They are poop without him.

A bonus in the sense that the tank wasn't for him, it was for McDavid. And also to get a nice player in '14 which turned into Reinhart. If there was no McDavid or Eichel I'm not sure they tank as hard and they'd probably end up taking Ehlers or Ritchie or something.

True but in many cases where a team gets into cap trouble thats usually the first guy out the door. The goal scorer due for a raise but doesnt bring much else to the table so you move him.

And we're about 3 levels below them, so adding one of those guys now does little to nothing to help out the defense. We can go all Edmonton, but look where that's gotten them. 10 years of misery and maybe some hope because they lucked into McDavid rendering Hall tradable.
