I heard the other day he hadn't been on ice for a goal against or goal for all year. Obviously was before his assist the other day. But pretty impressive to not be scored against.

JV created the assist with stealing the puck then rush and shot on net Bear tried on rebound and his shot popped to Bo who had an open cage to cash in.

After that foray WD decided to limit JV's minutes again.

From what I've seen, two games ago, if I remember correctly, which is always a crap-shoot, the more Virtanen plays the better he starts to play. His confidence starts to build and he starts to try more things with the puck....just an observation on my part.

I agree with you there.... WD gives JV a short leash on production.... if he has a "lost" shift or misses the net then it's DD or Skille time to take over.

He's old school to developing .... if not a vet go earn it cause I won't give you the time to prove it like my LE and Baertchi players. Now if he had another young player of equal quality to step in to compete .... why not... but he doesn't and not even a vet. Why it's sad to see cause like you it seems he could do more if given the green light.

Two more hours until the poop-show begins, should be fun. On a sour note, headed to a friend of my wife's celebration of life get-together, she passed away last week at the age of 51 from breast cancer....damn disease

I think it had to be withdrawn because Systemtool made a terrible connection/joke between Native Canadians and being addicted to drugs and alcohol. I called him on it.... he went running to Dozzer. I know this because Dozzer told me so. He was banning me for a week because I upset the locals. I had no idea, I was gone into the interior fishing for the week and did not find out until I got back.

I was just at Forest Lake for a few days. Lots of really big Bows rolling but only hooked one hog and lost her. I caught lots of smaller four pounders but I was there for double-digit slabs.

We pulled camp and went to another nearby lake that I shall not name and they were logging on the trail. The mud was so deep it pulled the wheel off my little boat trailer. I made two trips to get everything out of the bush but the boat trailer stays for the winter I think. I really hope someone steals it. Otherwise, I'm going to throw it piece by piece through the windows of the guy I bought it from.

It was only a month ago that my friends in TO were razzing me about losing a top 4 D on the waiver wire to them. I really do pity the Leafs fans and their desire to build through our thrown away projects over the years.

It's been going on long before they drafted Mathews, Marner and Nylander. TO fans have the most selective memories on the planet. They remember 1967 and nothing up to the Draft 2 years ago. Just simply lost the half century in between.
