Most here I think are not interested in Kane. He is not a quality person and he isn't the messiah coming in and making this team relevant again. We don't need his home town drama coming into the locker room. We knew Eriksson wasn't going to make us that much better why would he?

I really hope Makita is in the Leaf thread banning their posters that say anything about Canucks.

to me that's largely irrelevant. the team definitely should not be adding guys who don't look like they are going to get appreciably better. kane is a good player but he is getting close to his prime years. the team needs to look to the future when adding not a guy who's about to hit his peak.

sort of like what a rebuilding team usually does. also, losing is usually a pre-requisite for a rebuild. not fun especially when looking at it in the micro sense but necessary. let's hope the management is strictly looking at the macro when bringing in new blood (coaching and players).

I saw nothing wrong with his comment. Makita gets outright abused in here and the poster usually goes unpunished. A leaf mod shows up and one of us gets banned immediately. At least we understand how it all works around here.

I don't think the Canucks are beggars. In fact, it might be the most desirable Canadian city to play in.

I think you guys got trapped having two superstars for so long that it is tough to make the necessary break from that regime, and now that the cap isn't increasing by leaps and bounds it might be tough to trade them.

It isn't easy, unless you get Carey Price on your team to cover up all the mistakes players and management make.
