Me, got the hatty yesterday against the old chumps in morning mens league...I rock

i know many still like Burrows and what can i say he'd be fun to go have a few beers with, but as a winger on this team i believe he's been neutered by the league .

he no longer is able to play the way that made him effective due to NHL / referee basically labeling him as a marked dirty player.

now when hes out there there is a constant risk of penalty on his part and any and all hits are looked upon with his guilt presumed it seems.

the only solution would be to go back to playing him with the Sedins and therefore putting him in a offense driven role , and the trickle down effect would strengthen our next 3 lines .

Put the kid in the spot light to star the game. He will have a ton of energy. He could be the catalyst to get some goals from the Sedins. The rest of the team will follow.

Whats Willie got to lose? Imo his job is on the line tonight if they don't score again. If they lose and the team gets 3 or 4 goals I am sure his job is safe for a few more games but another shutout he is probably done.

He has 2 full seasons and a horrible start to this one.

Nobody hates Burrows but there comes a time when Coaches need to say you need to sit you are no longer helping the team. At the NHL level it is good business. Unfortunate but good.

You know, the problem, in part, with Canucks management and coaching staff is that they're "old school" guys. They were brought up in a system where this is how you do it and this is how's it's always been done.

IMO the guys who are successful are the guys who are willing and able to adapt to changing times. Torts is an example of a guys who's 100% completely unwilling to change his mindset, thus he's stuck and the game has passed him by.

The moral of my ramblings, I don't believe Willie is there yet, and I'm not sure he ever will be.
