I am inspired by the actions of people in the United States who have toppled the statues of historical leaders who were associated with slavery. I therefore protest, and call upon all governments to remove, the public display of statues and displays that remind modern people about leaders and cultures in which slavery was practiced.
We must start with Sumerian and Mesopotamian cultures going back to 2000 B.C. The Code of Hammurabi (c. 1860 B.C.) proves that slavery was an established institution even then. We must eliminate from our museums all records of the Sumerian and Mesopotamian cultures.
It naturally follows that we must condemn the ancient cultures of Egypt, Greece, Rome, China and India and the equally decadent new world cultures of the Aztecs and Incas that not only tolerated slavery but made it a central part of their economic and social systems. All statues of leaders and influential slave owners like Plato, Aristotle, Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, members of the Ming dynasty in China and the Gupta dynasty (among a long list of others) in India must be torn down and references to them eliminated from the history books.
By doing that, of course, we will just be getting started. The longest continuous period of human slavery existed in Africa and the Middle East. All references to the ancient and relatively recent tribal leaders in Africa must be removed from African studies texts because of these practices. Virtually the entire history of Islam since its founding in the seventh century has been based upon the institution of slavery. We must find all statues and pictorial representations of Arabic and African leaders and remove them.
Even when people did not call it slavery, the same practices were embodied in the European institution of serfdom which began in the Middle Ages and continued in countries like Russia until the early part of the twentieth century. All statues and paintings of medieval European kings, queens and nobles must be removed. These evil practices continued in some places right into the Renaissance. Can we trust any of the paintings and statues of Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Rafael?
Frankly, we will just have to eliminate all references to slavery in the history of humankind. This may not be difficult, as we seem to have eliminated all teaching of history already. |

Not much talk about the DNC IT issues surrounding Debbie Wesserman Schultz. Is it possible these goofs hacked themselves inadvertently by having some unsavoury people handle their IT? |

How many of these were motivated by the idea that a specific race was inferior to another, and deserved to be enslaved?
Also, this isn't about erasing history, it's about not honouring evil people, for their evil deeds. We didn't forget about Hitler, despite the lack of statues.
I doubt you'll challenge yourself too much by actually putting thought into it, but try. |

Rosengard, where more than 80 per cent of the population was not born in Sweden, has become widely regarded a flashpoint for communal strife. I was told again and again by Swedes and Arabs in Sweden’s third-largest city that the slightly scruffy neighbourhood (few communities in Scandinavia are truly scruffy) had already become a virtual No-Go Zone for fire trucks and ambulances unless protected by a robust police escort and that when crimes were committed the community was tightlipped with police about what had happened.

Leaked: This is the Antifa training manual, revealing it to be a militant front for communism, and to be full of racism and calls for violence.
