Yea, trump reeeeaaaaalllly cares about the constitution. - Feeling Glucky?
Well in this case, he may well be right. It's my understanding that only Congress can pass legislation that governs immigration law............ and there have been many sittings of Congress over the past couple of decades that have failed to do their job, for whatever reason, and both parties are to blame.
The POTUS is just trying to get Congress to do their constitutional duty.
Even your boy Obama tried to get congress to pass immigration reform, back when the Democrats held power in both the House, the Senate and he was President ......... now it's the Republicans who hold power in both the House, the Senate, and with a Republican President in the WH.

Trump's main interest is to undo what Obama did, regardless of whether it is or isn't good for the country. Sure there's a legal debate over whether Obama circumventing congress was right or wrong, but the important thing to note is that the Obama administration believed they could win any lawsuit brought towards them by states that didn't like the idea of treating people with dignity.
Any attempt to argue that Trump is just doing this "because of the constitution" can be immediately discounted, by his pardoning of Arapaio. This just fits in with two patterns of the Trump administration - the anti-Obama one that was already discussed, and the general disdain for minorities that he's shown(outside of his love for Trump brand taco bowls!).
Just a terrible administration doing terrible things for the sake of being terrible.

There are those in the immigrants’ rights community who have argued passionately that we should simply provide those who are [here] illegally with legal status, or at least ignore the laws on the books and put an end to deportation until we have better laws. ... I believe such an indiscriminate approach would be both unwise and unfair. It would suggest to those thinking about coming here illegally that there will be no repercussions for such a decision. And this could lead to a surge in more illegal immigration. And it would also ignore the millions of people around the world who are waiting in line to come here legally. Ultimately, our nation, like all nations, has the right and obligation to control its borders and set laws for residency and citizenship. And no matter how decent they are, no matter their reasons, the 11 million who broke these laws should be held accountable.

You're entitled to your opinion........... but you're also disregarding the fact that DACA is about to expire, and the other fact is that Immigration reform/law is not in the purview of a single person, the POTUS in this case ........... Congress is responsible for Immigration and Immigration law reform .......... so as far as I can see, it's up to Congress to do the right thing and settle this issue, one way or another .............. kicking the can down the road, like your boy Obama did, is not the way to solve this issue.
