So do you agree or disagree with the excerpt for the Speech (above) made by the POTUS?
The children who were brought by their parents, into the USA illegally, are not Americans, as they were neither born in the USA, or were born of American Citizens.
This whole thing is a mess, and it should have been taken care of a long long time ago, and both parties, and a number of Presidents are to blame for letting it get to be a much better mess today ............... DACA was not and is not the answer ....... Congress must pass immigration reform, and end this issue one way or another.
As far as I'm concerned, the young, educated adults who are covered by DACA should apply to immigrate to Canada ............ they would be perfect additions to Canada, and would contribute to Canada right away. - D0PPELGANGER
Why do you care so much about a problem in America that you will never have to deal with in your own life?

You have never met a Dreamer and never will. - rmiethaner
You have no clue as to whether or not I've meet a "Dreamer".
Also, just as with the expiring of TPS (for Haitians) in the USA, thousands of of them, who don't want to return (from the USA) to their own country, are illegally entering Canada ......... so I expect the same thing now to happen with those affected with the rescinding of DACA.
For example, there are those in the immigrants' rights community who have argued passionately that we should simply provide those who are [here] illegally with legal status, or at least ignore the laws on the books and put an end to deportation until we have better laws. And often this argument is framed in moral terms: Why should we punish people who are just trying to earn a living?
I recognize the sense of compassion that drives this argument, but I believe such an indiscriminate approach would be both unwise and unfair. It would suggest to those thinking about coming here illegally that there will be no repercussions for such a decision. And this could lead to a surge in more illegal immigration. And it would also ignore the millions of people around the world who are waiting in line to come here legally.
Ultimately, our nation, like all nations, has the right and obligation to control its borders and set laws for residency and citizenship. And no matter how decent they are, no matter their reasons, the 11 million who broke these laws should be held accountable.

Well, you support rescinding DACA, with no alternative in place...
“The commitment needs to be a commitment to grow the economy and the budget will balance itself,”
“A large percentage of small businesses are actually just ways for wealthier Canadians to save on their taxes,” - D0PPELGANGER
He's not entirely wrong on that.
Lots of farmers are registered as small businesses and work with their accountants and large companies to maintain annual revenues below the threshold so that they can continue to receive benefits as small businesses rather than the sizable corporations they really are.
I don't think it's a LARGE percentage, per se, but there's certainly a number of larger businesses that work to maintain themselves as legally small businesses.
Well, you support rescinding DACA, with no alternative in place...
So that's a pretty big clue right there. - Feeling Glucky?
By rescinding DACA ...........which was going to expire anyway, because your boy Obama put in a "sunset clause" when he created it, with his Executive order.................... this now forces Congress & both parties to do something about this situation, one way or another before the mid terms, and be accountable for it ............. so the POTUS decided not to kick the can (again) down the road, as the previous occupant of the WH did.
You on the other hand, seem to just want to leave the "Dreamers" in limbo, and give neither a chance at becoming a legal resident, or even a pathway to citizenship.

If Trump had any intent to use this to push congress to do the right thing, he would have been the one to announce it, not cower in the white house while the racist Keebler elf did it.
Maybe enough republicans will fall in line with the democrats, and do something positive... but that isn't Trump's intention.
