Yes, it's unfair to consider how much universities can charge.
I'm sure you subscribe to the side of the political spectrum that believes in funneling government funds into education, healthcare, and other social services, that help reduce this debt load.

Problem is, in Ontario for example, servicing the Debt (A.K.A. interest only) is the third biggest expenditure after both Healthcare and Education.
Ontario is the world’s most indebted sub-sovereign borrower, and these liberal borrowing (A.K.A. future taxes) and spending habits over the past 12 years was game plan orchestrated by the NOW top senior advisors of our Current PM Selfie McSelfieface, so I think that is exactly why that future taxpayer is crying about.
