So how many fines? You said 4 fines
- SameOld

I love how you are still going on about this

Warning or Fine who cares. They are both from the NHL's head office.

He picks his spots and always has.

I thought it was a suspension at first as well. Until I saw the pictures from the other side of the ice which clearly showed shoulder to shoulder, skates on the ice and arm tucked tight to the body.
- SameOld

The fact that people are calling it a shoulder to shoulder hit is just downright wrong. His should directly hits Sedins head. The head is the main point of contact.

He does know how the play Kumbaya backwards on his new acoustic guitar though.

Yeah, only because it's programmed in and he only has to hit 1 button. The guy is spoiled.

Thanks Yeti, looks like a real poop show in here last night. Wouldn't you know it the one night all hell breaks loose and I had other commitments.

I am now back in Ottawa and will be able to commit more time here, I see there was quite a few bans handed out last night, on both sides, hope it was fun and worth it.

I'll now finish reading the blog and see how many took Yeti's words to heart.

- Makita

Welcome back, i'm sure you'll be handing out a few.

I'm fine right now.

There's no self-pity, I cheer for the cubs and dolphins. Losing is nothing new.

It's amazing that you spend so much time here considering you said earlier Canucks fans made HB unbearable.

Good run for the 'phins. Missed this weeks game but last game was awesome. Ajayi is a keeper.

so you thought it was suspension worthy when you witnessed it on your tv but that hansen was out of line "jumping an unsuspecting" kadri.

Couldn't understand why some posters were upset with Dorsett going with Komarov, Komorov is worse than Burrows.
- hillbillydeluxe

I'm not sure i'd go that far.

The point is that it's not really a physical mismatch.

i hear what your saying and my attitude is similar to yours even if i do want to trade away a lot of players.

i would never run anyone out of town least of all the good soldiers of this organization. i would have a rational and honest conversation with the players i wanted to trade (who have NTC/NMC). let them know exactly what the organization sees and ask them to waive. should they not, end of discussion. i would never threaten waivers or turn the relationship frosty if they decline.

but, there is a middle ground between keeping the good vets and running them out of town.

Sure did look like a suspension-worthy hit. Not sure if he left his feet but it was a blindside headshot. Ah well, NHL Player Safety rarely gets it right. Will be tuning in for the rematch for sure.

He put up 111 and a TD on the Jets today, not bad against the #1 run D in the league. Too bad they didn't win one of their 1st two and against the Titans or they'd be in good shape.

You guys were told by 2 or 3 Mods to leave this thread. I'm starting to fatigue my flagging finger and it would be nice if you demonstrated a little compassion and just left, as you have been told to numerous times.

He thought he was told to leave when he read it but after reading other posts he changed his mind and assumed he was welcome.

He should have been expecting it because of what happened earlier when 190lb Dorsett went after 200lb Komarov.
- golfingsince

Ahahaha you're using weight to determine what's a fair fight?? I probably have 60 LBs on floyd mayweather. Not sure I'd like my chances

The NHL department of player safety disagrees with you. They must be downright wrong.

You're right. Thank you for the clarification. When do you plan on changing the original ruling?

- SameOld

no, you're absolutely right. the league never gets anything wrong.

this is hilarious. it's like a leaf will never get run in the future.

you better make sure dozzer doesn't get a life by then.

Just because I thought the NHL would suspend him has absolutely nothing to do with whether I liked it as a hockey hit or do I think guy should need to fight for every single big hit they lay.

And btw, its (frank)ing stupid that guys "have" to fight when they crush a guy.
