Nope. I've learned my lesson. Well not really, but I had some time to reflect.

I am not undermining the quality of Mathews, I feel however the only reason he went before is because he is a center. I would kill to have either.

Both are certainly good players. We may have already seen Mathews at his potential.
I think Laine will only get better than he currently is.

I was surprised you survived the poopshow last night, especially with your reputation of being a badass.

What the hell is going to happen when Nuck4U returns from his timeout, god help us.

I didn't think it was too bad to tell the truth, besides I think Bloated beat me to the punch. He's a good poster.

Still fuming about yesterday .... how come Leafers can come into this thread make vile comments and promote cowardly acts like Martin going after Stecher and other young Canucks but we have to take it and can't answer back...?

This on the back of the Kadri act... as said:

This is precisely the kind of hit the league has been trying to take out of the game for over a decade but, with this decision, they’ve sent the clear message that maybe it’s not that big a deal; that under some circumstances, you can track a player from behind, launch yourself at him and contact his head when he’s at his most vulnerable.

And the Leafers think they have the moral high ground too....

Dont see any comparable players like them in up coming draft but it's a long year until then....

The Sedin's aren't going anywhere - they will end their careers as Canucks.
- docmorgan

Probably.... but the full on tankers or critics that there is no rebuild here will plague them until they leave for being on this team. SHame ....

that's exactly why. strike while is value is high.

i know that it makes the team worse, on the ice and in the room. however, there is no way to avoid the pain. same reason to trade tanev. i like his game a lot but he may be worth more to the canucks in trade than the value he brings on the ice.

- RealityChecker

If this team gets further out of play off contention Hanson and Tanev will be talked about a lot as the only movable and of value assets not essential future core of team. What can they fetch that will make a real difference over keeping them for future development of the team will be the next big debate for the season.

Sure they do if that's your only goal .... and this team may just finish in the bottom anyway with them. Plus moving them is not probable with their NMC. Who will give any value for the cost to the franchise and team by their absence. We don't have anyone ready to take over. Ideally you would see more draft picks ready to enter and get a playoff battle in for a leader to be established for the torch to be passed on. That their work ethic and excellence teaches the young guys how to be pros and do well. These intangibles are key for a club to make the next step in a rebuild. Yes the team needs more talent and development. That is coming in the next couple of years no matter where this team finishes.

So you figure 1st overall pick Mathews has reached his potential 12 games into his career? Wow.

Does it matter....who cares....maybe you really are a closeted Leaf blower ...

You take every opportunity to disparage the Canucks and their fans but are first on the scene defending the Laughs.... what a duplicitous self righteous troglodyte.
