Hansen has stepped up as one of the team leaders. Now let's trade the (frank)er while he has value

It's actually been shown that the leafs are subject to more supplemental discipline than any other team in the league, not because of any malicious intent, but because of coverage. The leafs have the most extensive coverage of any team in the league. A player can not do anything on the ice in any game that isn't covered with 3 different tv angles. They can't even karoke to Bon Jovi without it getting caught on film.

You can be the judge on whether there is a "slew foot, accidental or intended trip which causes Burrows to spear Reilley.

There is no protection from the league, especially that Effie joke DOPS. Should be called department of inconsistent idiots. When there is no justice, real or perceived, players will mete out their own brand of it. Period.

There needs to be a hard look at the young guys who are waiver free and if they need to go down to the AHL. Hutton has been a defensive mess this year, JV could use top minutes on the top line and Stecher is the swing man on D. Bring up some size and meanness and become difficult to play against. Vancouver is too soft. We are not winning anything this year except a place in the lottery. Props to Hansen and Miller for having some balls. Need more of that in a measured way.

Well it's official, -14 in goal differential, worst in the league, this month isn't going to end well for some of the non-playing staff for the Canucks.

I didn't think there was a suspension on the Kadri hit. I'm ok with his 5 min major. I'm also ok with Kadri facing on ice justice because he apparently has no respect. Why should he get any? If continues he like this, he'll be leaving the ice feet first eventually.

When Burrows spears him? You're saying Burrows was slew footed by reilley?
Unless this is a scene from Angels in the outfield I don't get it.

obviously you haven't played hockey. that was a dirty play. i guess the leafs are trying to build a goon team. the league should send a message to the leafs by suspending reilly at least 10 games.

First and foremost I want an outward commitment to rebuilding thru the draft, which means letting go of this idea that "this year is all about winning". I've said from the beginning of the year this is such a fallacy considering the players they currently have...it's becoming embarrassing.

I want them to sell off assets for first, second or third round draft picks and pick as many times as they can until they get it right. The defence is shaping up nicely with Gudbranson, Juolevi, Stecher, Tryamkin, Hutton etc. but we desperately need some offensively talented skilled guys.

Ten games for every missing tooth if you're caught slew footing - it's in the small print. Good thing Rielly is only missing one.

Last year the team was the lowest scoring team in Canucks history, thru 12 games they had 35 goals, this year, they have 19.

Have as look for yourself. Toronto tops the list.
I don't think it's coincidence that teams which don't have many televised games (Arizona, Nashviille, Carolina) all seem to have far less suspensions than others. The league can only use what it has available to them.

I would have thought just about all the games are televised nowadays.
