Why the (frank) can't we just have a normal development projection for our young guys? I believe Tony is echoing the sentiments of management.

But why can anyone expect Tree or Gaunce or Virt to play that role so early in the season and their careers? Jesus, these guys are still trying to figure out their game and are expected to now be the physical backbone of this team as well?

How about Dim Jim work to aquire some help to protect what little talent we have instead of the other way around.

I've got nothing to say about Benning anymore, however, I dont think it's out of the question for one of those big guys to lay a big hit on someone, they don't have to fight.

Tony is entitled to an opinion just like you and I. Don't like the man though!

I think Jakes left shoulder is still bothering him, I saw him deliberately turn himself to hit with his right shoulder a few games ago when he should have hit the guy with his left....despite reports I think he's either not confident in the shoulder or it's bothering him still.

Tony has a right to his own opinion absolutely, but the guy is a useless tool of a writer.

That's what confused me a bit about the criticism of Sbisa, he was laying the body on all game but some were saying he didn't play tough enough

The league has determined that it was a clean hit, regardless of whether we agree or not, the best course of action for the canucks is to hit Kardi the exact same way. Don't bother with getting a stick in there but literally separate the player from the puck, over and over.

This is where I wish we had Daryll Sutter as a coach.

For me I wouldn't care what the NHL said or did. I know I would have Mackenzie Stewart up for the Dec 3 game and either Marner or Nylander would be out for 6-8 weeks with a broken wrist from an accidental slash.I don't know if suspensions carry over to the ECHL or whatever league he plays in.

It would send a clear message you go after my star ,I go after yours. I don't care if anyone likes my solution or not , that is what I hope Benning does.

I wouldn't be surprised if the game against the leafs gave the Canucks a bit of spark going forward.

They were held to no goals 4 out 5 games leading up to the leafs? It may be something to get the team going again.

remind me never to get on your bad side lol.

Little harsh don't you think? Premeditated attempt to injure players is not a path I think the Canucks need to venture down at this point if it isn't done fairly through a fight.

He is right though. Not so much for intentional. But teams have taken liberties with the Sedins for years and we only ever go after the guy who hit them. Go after their star players and they will stop going after ours. make sure it is clean, but the next time matthers, nylander, or marner get the puck, separate body from puck HARD.

And we have the right not to read his drivel. Imagine if he reacted like some posters here when he's told we don't read his posts.

So, them going after our stars prompts us to go after theirs, and we expect us going after theirs not to prompt them to come back after ours? Weird logic, but in all honesty I'd still like to see Tree pick Matthews up and toss him across the rink

Tony G hard on the Nucks today, called out a few of the players for their lack of response. Hate that guy but I agree with him here!
- LeftCoaster

This is why I think Canucks need a new coach. Before everyone jumps all over me,here is why.

A coach change is not going to make us a better team, but a really bad coach like Hartley that plays a goon type of game may change players mind that want to let their contract expire.

Igf Hartley says to Eriksson and Edler he wants them to play more physical and stir things up ,they may want to be moved and wont hold the team to the NTC

Then I go right back after another one of theirs.

I would be surprised if Kadri is not confronted all game, I expect someone to step up. Martin as well. The eye for an eye days are gone and for good reason. Daniel isn't missing any games.

Screw Kadri . Dorsett went after Kadri so Badcock sends Martin after Stecher.

Take Willie Nylander out of the roster for two months . Send them a clear message don't go after our guys or we will go after yours.

"Tree"...? as in so slow he grows roots?

Nobody went after Vancouver's 'stars'.
Nobody's going to be able to 'toss' Matthews across the rink.

All of this was started anyways by the Gudbransson's cross-check on Carrick (1st period I think) which was probably the most dangerous play of the whole game.

- MaximusAurelius

This is pretty bad. The whole thing just reeks of ignorance.

Guddy wasn't even penalized. Why? because he was clearing the front of the net. More dangerous than a headshot? Come on now.

Daniel Sedin is a HOFer, I know its been a bit since you've seen one as Sundin hasn't been around in a while, but just because they get old doesn't mean they aren't stars.

I know my way of looking at the hit is old school. My favourite players growing up was Bobby Clarke and Dave Schultz. Too old to change now.

Im a fan of anyone who switches up the original cadence, but yeah a little lackluster for sure. At least she sang the whole damn song unlike our guy who points the mic at the crowd to take a pizza break
