I have warned the Leaf posters yet again not to stir things up in here. I apologize if they have come in and started things up again, they will be dealt with.

Aside from that last game, Miller has been better than Markstrom at stopping pucks this season. I really don't understand why you take time every day to rag on the goaltending. It is our most reliable position right now. It seems rather odd to keep pointing at one of two goalies that have been giving the Canucks a good chance to win almost every night. Markstrom has actually played bad at times even...

- boonerbuck

I've been on Marky a bit too. Just a bit odd that we go with Miller after a 6 goal affair. Miller has been ok...not great. People are looking for positives in the losing streak which is good but the goaltending has been getting more praise than they deserve. If the goalies were playing as well as claimed and making timely stops...pretty sure our record would reflect different numbers. But it is what it is. I have a bit more respect for Miller now that he came to help Stecher...and I'm hoping that's a rallying cry for the team. I realize it's tough to fault Miller/Marky most nights in front of our current D but still timely saves need to be made regardless of the D in front of them. I'm hoping for Miller/Marky to pick it up a bit and make those timely saves...which I think they will.

Agreed, I like how Doughty turns to hit with his body (or maybe tried for his right shoulder) as opposed to the leading left, which Kadri did. Makes it safer for everyone

Big hit! And not one person female doged about it; players, coaches, fans, refs, or commentators. Perfect blindside hit.

I (frank)ing hate Dorothy.

Should have been a suspension...eerily close to Cooke on Savard.

I don't think Kadri meant too myself...small guys have to give themselves a bit of lift as to not take a head shot themselves but again...the league should have gave him a couple and let the players know these hit's are not acceptable.

Chaput has earned the callup much more than anyone in Utica, overdue for this shot! Hope he gives management more of a reason to send JV down, kid needs to be able to play lots and make mistakes.

Meh, I don't think it’s an issue about the hit.

It's the consistency from the league that's an issue.

Consistency is bad... but the hit itself is bad also, "legal" or not. I just think the solution isn't that easy to implement.

I thought he would get a suspension, even while I believed it might be within the rules. The fact that he wasn't suspended just makes me question the rule.

Kadri only sedin hit east/west because sedin is traveling east/west.

Sedin should have known better than to cut across the middle of the ice.

That is the stupidest thing I have heard in a long time. We are talking hockey not cross country skiing. See you in December.

This is where I'm confused about trolling...

What is the difference between trolling on here and the ribbing we all got from our friends over the years? Sometimes your best friends can be the most relentless.

On here it's an anonymous hockey web site for christ sake. I have battled for years with a few guys on here right now. So what? Soon as I log off it ends. And when I log back on it's a new session with no animosity.

I don't get why people get so offended.

- bloatedmosquito

The funny thing about trolling (not that I'm an expert), if you ignore them, they eventually (for the most part) will leave. There are some that just continue and continue and those are the ones that need to be banned.

I agree though, I never take offense to anything that is said, just more annoying than anything. Like when a Leafs fan was saying they should trade Bozak, JVR and San Jose's 2nd for Juolevi and a 1st.

It looks like his arm takes his helmet off, but whatever....I'm sure Dec 3rd will be all hyped and it will be just another game.

This is accurate. Thing is: it's good for hockey for the leafs to be putting wins together, taking a key cog out during a winning streak... just saying there's a politics involved here too.

Then how do you dig a puck out or away from the boards? You got to face and look at the puck at some point.
- bloatedmosquito

This is the exact problem with trying to remove all blindside hits. So many situations involve a hit that the guy doesn't see coming.

You can't put all those decisions in the ref's hands, and some would argue you can't take that much hitting out of the game.

Personally, I think you can take hits from behind or the blindside out of the game, but if someone has their head down and gets hit from a guy they should have been able to see, that's on them.

I seen head contact....looked like his arm took his bucket off, I'm ok without the suspension as the Leafs need all the help they can get.

Naw... I don't think they give a crap is the Leafs win. They will generate boatload of revenue anyway. They have a far greater interest in making sure the large U.S. fan bases remain competitive and that the game has a presence in all U.S. regions.

I think it likely depends on how the game goes.

We've seen in the past that these hyped games turn into nothing during a close game but if the leafs blow out the Canucks again, I won't be surprised to see one of the Canuck "tough" guys do something dumb.

I also imagine we also see Dorsett and Martin both beat their chests regardless of the score.

90% of the hits today are from behind....I don't get the rulings, some are called...most are not.
