Hold up on the meds there chief.........out of that list, the only guys that should be traded are Edler and Hansen....and thats provided that someone steps up internally to replace Edler.
Dorsett and getting you poop....Baertschi is part of the future and is the kind of guy you want on your 3rd line.
Sbisa is being saved for the expansion draft........
JB better not dare to trade Tanev....... - chompsey
I don't see Baert as part of the long term future. Loosing streak or not it's time for the canucks to move on from old parts or parts that aren't going to be there in the future. Not saying now but at the deadline or the draft.
Mason Raymond 2.0.
Tanev is going to bring Van the biggest return. I don't get why people want to keep him? He's always injuried, what good is he to the team if he is never in the team? Playing he's great... when he is injuried all the pairings get messed up.
Stecher
Gudbranson
Tryamkin
Are the future right side.
No need for Tanev in the future.
Hutton and Joulevi next season top 2 on the left side.

I know that you are not smart enough to know better seeing you guys drink up the Maple Leaf hype like an old man with viagra in a whore house , but you guys need more than one # pick.
You are still a bad team but you are eating up beating the worst team in the league that is on a road trip ,playing an usual amount of games in a short period of time.
I would pay more attention to what happened tonight with the 7-0 loss than I would about beating a really bad team 6-3 - VANTEL
Young teams like Toronto are going to have those real good and real bad games.
Toronto is playing better then I expected them too. Van is playing slightly worse then I thought they would be a .500 team. I sure didn't see a 9 game losing streak haha. A much better game last night. Showing that if someone other then a Sedin can score they can win a game. |

I like tanev but with his contract you could get lots for him. You should be able to land a really nice prospect and a 1st.
We have to unload edler before he walks away also.
Im not sure I totally agree with your Defense but its close. I think we need a number one right side Dman. Its too early to tell if stetcher is for real. Or if Gudbranson shouldnt be dealt also.
For me it looks like:
(Dman not in the system) - OJ
Stecher - Hutton
Tryamkin - Brisebois
That Dman could be Timothy Liljegren

You get Pims in Marchand. Richardson will get dropped soon. |

That was a decent hockey game last night, the law of averages were in our favour. |

To be honest I didn't have a lot of time last week to mess with the pool, forgot to take a goalie off the bench and didn't get enough starts, also had some players benched for some reason that I'd forgotten about.
Chompsey the same this week... |

What are your thoughts on their future and what's your opinion on what they should be doing as a franchise moving into the next three years? |

I'm pretty close to were you are. I hate them trying to win 'now', was not thrilled with getting Eriksson and do not want to see one more pick or prospect traded. I would like them to say they are building for the future and kept developing the picks. Tanev & Hansen should be traded by the TDL and DO NOT extend the Sedins. I don't think a mid season coaching change will have much effect but would look at it this summer. |

So Laine is way better than Matthews. That's pretty clear.
The question is, did the Leafs still make the right choice with building around a centre instead of a winger?
To me Marner is going to be better than Matthews, so maybe they did still make the right choice, even though they didn't get the best player in the draft. |

They were saying 100 million didn't vote
It is a different world in the states, or it is a different world in my 'hood. I walk 5 minutes to a voting spot and have never waited in line for more than 10 minutes in any election over the last dozen years. Listening to Abbot in New York, he said lineups went around the block and further.
Anyway, I thought the states would be crazy to vote for Trump, but maybe they think we were crazy for voting Trudeau.
c'est la vie. |

Some people look at a flag, swaying in the breeze of the White House and say, "That's America." Whenever I see an American flag hung in a window of a basement apartment by guys who have better things to do with their money than buy curtains, I say, "That's America, to me."
In America, there are fifty-one states. Or maybe it's eighty by now. Does England count? I'm not quite sure. The one thing I am sure of is, if I'm standing in a warehouse beside a timeclock, and a guy is punching in his best friend who's too hungover to get out of bed, I'm standing in America.
The makeover capital of the world. The place where every young man has to answer in his heart the question: What do you love more, your girlfriend, or your car? Where that young man can buy a beat-up car for three hundred dollars, but have to spend a thousand to insure it.
America.
The land where even a paperboy can option the film rights to a book.
America.
In America, a woman on an assembly line works out her overtime in her head to infinity, and at the exact same moment, her husband gets into a car crash because he was looking at a girl in a tube top.
America.
A land where spelling doesn't count, but people's pets do. Where else can you get a job riding a whale at marineland? The land where a guy's girlfriend breaks up with him over the phone, so he takes a gun, and kills the principal. Everyone's sad until they get the day off. Next week, another guy, another gal, another, "We can still be friends" phone call. Whuh-oh! The *assistant* principal gets killed. And everyone is sad because they *don't* get the day off. Because he was only the assistant principal.
America.
A land of opportunity. Yes, that great lumbering beast that journeys tirelessly and stops only to eat a clubouse sandwich, pick its teeth with a matchbook cover, and fall asleep with the tv on.
America.
A place for Americans. - Bruce McCulloch
Amen Bruce. Solid post. |
