I like tanev but with his contract you could get lots for him. You should be able to land a really nice prospect and a 1st.
We have to unload edler before he walks away also.
Im not sure I totally agree with your Defense but its close. I think we need a number one right side Dman. Its too early to tell if stetcher is for real. Or if Gudbranson shouldnt be dealt also.
For me it looks like:
(Dman not in the system) - OJ
Stecher - Hutton
Tryamkin - Brisebois
That Dman could be Timothy Liljegren - mauryballstein
I wonder if something around Tanev+Hansen+? for Barzal+Colle would work out. |

Would be a quick, mobile D-corps forsure.
That top-4 would likely be pretty injury prone as well though as they are all relatively small and play a defensive game attune to Tanev. |

Well earlier I did say trade Tanev and Edler.
I'd let Tanev go for a 1st and Anthony Mantha or a 1st and Jake Debrusk.
I like Timothy but just because he doesn't have a lot of size and having size on your D in the West is helpful to clear the net. Already having OJ, Stecher, Hutton who don't really play with much size. Having Tryamkin, and Gudbranson each with a fast skilled D would be nice pairings.
If Van could get a Mid round pick, I like Nicholas Hague.
A scoring winger is top of my list this year if Van gets an early round draft choice.

I know I'm not to talk politics but did everyone know that North American sports franchises and the money they generate is covered under the NAFTA agreement?
Take away NAFTA and then you have to reconfigure how teams are taxed when they perform in non-resident countries. Interesting.

I think Brisebois would be a couple years away too. Future though.

I'm pretty close to were you are. I hate them trying to win 'now', was not thrilled with getting Eriksson and do not want to see one more pick or prospect traded. I would like them to say they are building for the future and kept developing the picks. Tanev & Hansen should be traded by the TDL and DO NOT extend the Sedins. I don't think a mid season coaching change will have much effect but would look at it this summer. - Marwood

interesting.
I can't imagine the number of contracts between companies that will have to be torn up and renegotiated if NAFTA is scrapped.
With election promises though, it is easier to say them than follow through with them. Guantanamo is still open and I think Obama promised to shut it down in his first campaign.
There will be a little uncertainty for sometime to come. |

Agreed.
Ideally the Canuck's can actually find one of those mystical 'all-around' defense-man at some point. Edler shows flashes but at this point that ain't happening. |

Highly doubt that's even a possibility.
Worse case scenario Trump merely cuts out Mexico |

If they build a wall, and Mexico pays for it, I'm guessing Mexicans will end up being the labour.

Edler looks so lost without Tanev Especially infront of his own net. Could use some more Vets for the 3rd pairing. Van has a pretty young D outside of Edler. Look how bad Dallas's D is even with Hamhuis.
Left wingers Van is very very short on in any sort of prospect way. |

I don't particularly care about the U.S election, if anything I leaned more towards Trump than that corporate/wall-street shill in Hilary.
That said, kaptaan ain't smart enough to even be considered a redneck. |

Any chance Markstrom gets the start in Detroit?
He has a better record than Miller, but Miller wasn't getting any run support either... |

Difference being that Republicans controlled the Senate, making it difficult for promises to be fullfilled. This time around its a Republican President, Senate and House, they hold all the power |

I've read on here many times that the only way to judge a goalie is by his wins. Competition, run support, GAA, SV% are just fancy ways of pushing an agenda.
Miller will start and it will be Jarvis's fault. |

True.
while Trump is a Republican Pres, I'm not sure if everything he promised was inline with the usual Rep. beliefs... might not have support for all his promises and initiatives, but I'd guess we will see some crazy sh!t.
anyway, srry didn't want to get too political. Srry Makita.

It will be interesting to see if he can levy even those within the Republican party, as the man essentially ran as an independent lol.
If there's ever a time when the separation of powers is an essential American function, it will be in January lol. |

Totally agree, and I didnt mean too either, I was fascinated with Brexit and its potential impact on the EPL, and will watch the NAFTA impacts closely on sports as well |

Different mind set for the players when Miller is playing then Markstrom. I hope that after last night the team gets going and plays some more consistent hockey. Send JV to Utica. |

They have both kept the team in some games. It must be frustrating for both if the team doesn't score and they let in 1 while facing a lot of shots. You can't steal a game if your team doesn't score at all. |

Miller has played better than Markstrom, but Markstrom has been good as well. |

At least the War President didn't win. We are already way the past where we were with the Cuban Missle Crisis after they built the missile base in Romania on Russia's border,,, hell, every single NATO country added on Russia's border since the fall of the Soviet is against a agreement and an act of aggression. Thats started under Bill Clinton...
Hopefully the war machine has slowed down some. |
