I don't particularly care about the U.S election, if anything I leaned more towards Trump than that corporate/wall-street shill in Hilary.

That said, kaptaan ain't smart enough to even be considered a redneck.

They have both kept the team in MOST games. It must be frustrating for both if the team doesn't score and they let in 1 while facing a lot of shots. You can't steal a game if your team doesn't score at all.

- hillbillydeluxe

Lol fixed and yeah they have. Good though, I don't think the team will score 5 a night but if the goalies can keep the goals against to 2 or less; they HOPEFULLY should win most games.

I know I'm not to talk politics but did everyone know that North American sports franchises and the money they generate is covered under the NAFTA agreement?

Take away NAFTA and then you have to reconfigure how teams are taxed when they perform in non-resident countries. Interesting.

Everything Trump wants to change has to go through the process. He has to get things like this past congress and fat chance on that.

I agree man, just trying to send Makita over the edge My bro has quite the temper.

Miller has played better than Markstrom, but Markstrom has been good as well.

- belcherbd

I'm not sure if one has played better then the other I think they just play differently. Miller is like steady eddie.
Markstrom is more hot and cold throughout the game.

So Laine is way better than Matthews. That's pretty clear.

The question is, did the Leafs still make the right choice with building around a centre instead of a winger?

To me Marner is going to be better than Matthews
, so maybe they did still make the right choice, even though they didn't get the best player in the draft.

You're not watching enough would be my guess.

Yup, one man or woman doesn't make a difference in reality.

Although I do imagine this will give the idiots some social license to run around grabbing ladies in the wussy.

What was Matthews doing last night just leaving the puck and the zone without it?

I've seen Marner make mistakes too....they're both young and will both continue to make mistakes for a little while I'd guess. But Matthews has way more skill IMO and the big body to help him get to the high scoring areas.

I don't remember what the score was at the time but he may have looked a little flustered. You get the good and the bad with kids these days.

I was referring to trump.
Merica allowed this to happen. Trump did what he had to to get elected. Have to commend him for that.

Was similar election to Canada. Don't vote for Harper, same as don't vote for Trump. Except Trudeau was more appealing than Hillary.

It was early I think.....and they'd ( Matthews line ) had a couple good chances. He hasnt looked the greatest in his own zone...not many of the rooks have.

Nylander is the one who has really impressed me, although all three have been good.

Different skill sets. Hard to judge two different types of players. Need both types to win. Kane and Toews.

Canucks stink....discuss.

On a side note, the Flames now have the worst goal differential in the league, -15 for them...-14 for the Canucks

I can't remember any rookie being good in their own zone at 18 or 19.

Yep...IMO forwards hung the D/goaltender out last night.

Way too many EASY odd man rushes for LA....big game of shinny for them.

Doesnt help if you score 4 and lose.

If the Canucks would have drafted Nylander he'd be playing somewhere else or siting because they'd have some lame excuse that he's not big enough, he's not consistent enough, he's not physical enough, blah blah blah...he should thank his lucky stars he wasn't drafted by the idiots who run this organization!

You do need to be good in your own zone that's normally why you need some good other players that can play in their own zone instead of just being thrown into the fire at 18 or 19. Kind of why I don't believe in complete tear downs. Kids shouldn't need to lead teams.
