100%
If the talent was lacking (when healthy) this team would not have performed as well as they did on the powerplay, which strategically was a mess most of the year but they somehow made it an asset (talent making up for it). |

I realize some of these guys have done alright so far, but if they want to get anywhere close to being a contender they have to do better than them.
Blank-Eichel-Reinhart
Blank-O'Reilly-Okposo
Foligno-Larsson-Baptiste/Bailey?
Blank-Blank-Baptiste/Bailey
McCabe, Risto, Nelson, Blank, Blank,Blank
GMTM has his work cut out for him.
Edit: Normally Id say they don't all need to be replaced they just need to add someone better and move these guys down 1 or 2 spots on the depth chart, but given what most of these guys are making you might have to. |

I think coaching is an issue, Bylsma has too much Lindy in him. Too much 'prevent defense.
That said, there are a LOT of players on this roster that just lack hands and don't have skill. I love Foligno's size and effort but he has hands of cement. Kane is a great shooter but he couldn't make a nice pass if it saved his life. Gionta's days of quality play/production are long gone.
Our defense needs two quality additions. |

They are the puck possession 3rd line I dreamed they would be. I like him and Foligno here long term.
Also, jays moves so far? |

I know its brutal to cheer against your team and Im not going to go that far but there's a part of me that hopes they disappoint:
a) so that they can really see that some of these high cap hit guys need to go
b) so that they can have a high/valuable pick that they'd hopefully be willing to move. |

I think Larsson will be a valuable part of some team, hopefully Buffalo. I hope to God they keep Carrier up and maybe bump him up a line. |

Yeah I can't root against the team but I'm sick of being so frustrated. If they skate hard and forecheck for 60 minutes they actually stand a chance in most games.
GMTM needs to find a way to add some skill to the lineup without selling away the farm. But then again that's the real trick isn't it ? |

Redd!ck would be great, normally a realistic option but in a weak FA market i wonder if he gets overpaid by someone else. |

At this point i wouldnt mind selling the farm for high end talent. You can get some of that back by selling guys like Kane. |

I think a lot of GM's not named Tim Murray know what Kane is worth, especially with his price tag. I'd say he'll bring a 2nd rounder at the deadline. Nothing more.
High motor, low skill guy. He'll shoot the puck from anywhere (90% wide of the net), gets the occasional lucky goal, good for one bad penalty a game. And then the off-ice baggage. |

My favorite was the 3 on 2 with Reinhart, where Reinhart throws a pass to him, he fumbles it because he lacks any type of hands, and then Reinhart falls because he can barely skate.
Gotta love this team |

I'm holding out hope for Sam. High hockey IQ, does have hands. He's another player (like Carrier) that would highly benefit by playing with more skilled players on a regular basis. |

At the end of this season, Pegula, Murray, and disco dan need to figure out where the hell this rebuild is going because the way this team looks at this point in the build I wouldn't count on them taking any cups from what's being built in Toronto and Edmonton. |

**cups** is the key word. I think we will probably be decent with everyone back. But this is so far from a potential cup contending roster it's not even funny |

I thought about this the other day. Im not really sure to be honest. Virtanen doesnt solve this teams immediate needs. |

Not sure how much there was to it but 8th + for Faulk would have been aces. |

IMO our problem is the 12 guys up front, not the 6 guys in the back end, 7 if you count the goalie |

0 goals might be misleading too. They've been extra defensive with the injuries up front. I figure on a healthy team theyd take more chances offensively, problem is once they do they go back to being a mess defensively. |
