I am not sure what you are looking for. We are a youngish team that is missing several top forwards and 2 of our top 4 defenseman (while already needing to add a top 4 D). We've struggled over the last 3 or 4 games - so what? - Slump Buster
What 24 is trying to say. The Kane trade attributed to the teams lack of depth .
So in a nut shell. GMTM failed . |

No matter how you slice it, my facebook feed is still full of Sabres tickets for sale for way too much money. I wouldn't want to see this in person unless it was free. Then maybe. - Buffalo--Sabres
you know....im not sure if its inflation or not. I saw they had a deal for veterans day and thought hmmm maybe ill actually go. The sale was 300 level tickets for $40 dollars for active duty members....I remember sitting in front row 300 for less when they were good |

Not just the Kane trade. They are lacking depth on defense too.
No team is going to be healthy all the time. We just happen to hit the bug at the beginning, as opposed to the middle or end. |

Still being inexperienced as a team. They haven't been together that long . Is whats making it worse than it is compared to other teams . |

I'll put the prices in perspective for you overall, as a season ticket holder.
I'm part of a group of 5 people that split tickets in the 300 level, section 317 to be exact. When the friend of mine who has the tickets in his name first started getting seasons, it was for the 2006-2007 season. His 1/5 of the tickets cost him $300. This year, for that exact same breakdown, it cost us over $600 a person ($620 if I'm remembering correctly).
So in 10 years, the ticket prices have doubled. The reasoning behind it is due to revenue sharing. They have to keep within a certain percentage in order to qualify. But it's very hard to justify paying that kind of cash when the in-arena experience isn't good. Lauren Hall (the girl that does all the little games and stuff) is a complete moron and is NOT a nice person, at all.
In 10 years of having our seasons, we've won nothing. Not 1 stinking thing. At this point, it's old and we've pretty much had it because it's just not worth it to truck ourselves down there in the middle of February, so this is most likely the last season we have them.

At some point, they need to start winning games. The waiting list for season tickets, while it exists, isn't that long. They're currently 13th (above the median) in average attendance and 20th (below the median in percent capacity). Now, to be fair, KeyBank Center does not have Standing room seats, so they can never lead the league in either category, but there are tickets going unsold, and that number will decrease unless they start putting a winning product out there. |

Russ Brandon is very good at what he does. However, the platform has a lot to do with it. Despite the declining ratings, the NFL is still a very big deal, and the Bills are boosted by that. Ticket sales aren't necessarily driven as much by winning. In the NHL, unless you're in Toronto or Montreal, the quality of product drives ticket sales. |

I think the fan base can handle another losing season this year, if it turns into a top five draft pick, but the real problem from a selling standpoint is that the games are just boring. Other than just a lack of goals, there is a lack of energy, drive, and an edge that teams who really want to compete usually have. I've spent more games with the TV muted this year while I read a book than actually watching the game for entertainment. All I have to do is look up periodically to see nothing's happened yet again and I can move on to other things. |
