I don't know enough about him to comment, he looks good but usually a 23 year old defenseman may require the package you just stated and possibly a pick and/or prospect. I could see an additional wild card prospect coming back if they did the "and" from above.

Does it matter? Can't really be much less productive than Kane has been. I don't usually agree with sbroads on much, but I haven't liked the way this team has looked with Kane in the lineup.

I think they actually looked better without him.

They are trying to force him into being a star top line player based on draft status, and one and a half good seasons in a 7 year career.

I think he falls a bit more in the middle. He's not quite what they want him to be, but I think he's capable of more than just a checking line guy.

My main issue is he just doesn't seem to use his linemates like he should. And the dumb penalties since he got back need to stop.

Again though, I think we should be going for a 3 line team.

Kane is good at getting the puck to the offensive zone. Let him take the D draws with Larsson and have the objective be to the flip the ice to an offensive faceoff

It's giving him the 18-20 minutes a night and expecting his line to produce that's driving me nuts. That's not him
